Texas greats and potential greats in NFL:
Bobby Layne
Earl Campbell
Jerry Gray
Jamaal Charles
Casey Hampton
Brian Orakpo
Earl Thomas (on a curve?)

Texas A&M greats and potential greats in NFL:
Yale Lary
Shane Lechler
Von Miller
Sam Adams
Lester Hayes
Aaron Glenn
Dante Hall (on a curve?)

Lechler's a sure first ballot HOF (will be first punter I think) so that'll give Texas 2 and A&M 2 (players)

For the record, LSU is sitting at:
Jim Taylor
YA Tittle
Steve Van Buren
Tommy Casanova
Kevin Mawae
JaMarcus Russell
Alan Faneca
Patrick Peterson
Dwayne Bowe (on a curve?)

I'll leave it to Wiggly or somebody to trump that with Alabama's. I just can't bring myself to research them. It's too nice a day outside.

Yes, the endless talk about the LHN on ESPN and sports radio along with aggie crying like a little bitch and running away didn't amount to exposure for Texas. Exposure =/= viewership. But you wouldn't know that because aggie gets neither. Have fun hanging out with ole miss at the bottom of the SEC West.

All you have left to cling to is the hopes we fail in a conference y'all have no chance of ever joining while we swim in more TV cash than you and simultaneously claim the contradiction that we ran away. Poos t-sips, maybe your Daddy Baylor will let you stay within 3 TDs of them next season.

P.S. - SEC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> exposure than the alleged t-sip network that nobody outside of 2 trailer parks in the Piney Woods have ever seen.

I do think the Big 12 is pissed about the Aggies leaving..

Rightfully so, as the Big 12 is completely falling apart. Without being tested, Texas will be the new Ohio State.

As the Big 10 starts to come back up from that down slope its been on for a while, it will again regain stature as a notable conference and will start throwing punches with the SEC again, and winning their share I would assume..

The Big 12 will continue on its downward spiral towards the likes of the PAC 10 in being an offensive conference with little to no defense, and finding themselves giving up 30+ to the other schools come bowl time..

The SEC will continue to thrive as it has gained a sense of swagger on ESPN and in the mouths of the draft day analysts in which is driving a lot of the great high school athletes as far as all the way across the country to come play in the NFL University Training Camp that the SEC has become. As a long time Big 10 fan, I do say this with a sour tongue.. I do also believe that the Big 10 will eventually come back around and will begin to retain its top notch recruits and will once again take over the reigns as the best Football conference, I mean let's look at the history, which is known for repeating itself...

Ole Miss, Miss St., and Vandy certainly have great exposure. Aggies have misguided belief that being in the SEC brings exposure. That isn't true. Doing well in the SEC brings exposure. That's why Bama and LSU are usually headliners while schools like Georgia and Arkansas fluctuate between being big draws and afterthoughts depending on how they are playing that year. A&M can at best end up at the level of Arkansas, but will more likely be mid-way between Ole Miss and Arky. A&Ms exposure will be limited to its annual beat down at the hands of the true SEC powers.

Meanwhile, Texas is the most popular and profitable program in the nation and we were just given 300 million dollars by the biggest sports media company.

You are underestimating the desire of the Big 12 to succeed and are forgetting to take into account the demographics of the country that have resulted in college football power moving South. The Big 12 will not be in its same form 10 years from now. Hell, 5 years from now it will likely look different. The Big 12 brass are not feeling complacent with the current version and are working towards the future.

As for becoming an offensive conference with little to do defense, just look at Texas to see how that's wrong. The Big 10 saw the quality of its football fall because of the changing demographics in our country that caused most of the talent to move to the South/South Eastern United States. Texas and Oklahoma are right in or near that hotbed of talent, and annually take most of their recruits from that area. There has been a slight change in the style of Big 12 play to what appears to be a more offensive-minded philosophy, but much of that is due to the increased quality of QB play which is a direct effect of the training given to high school quarterbacks in Texas. If you look across the best teams in CFB, they are littered with starting QBs who grew up playing ball in Texas.

Another reason for the more offensive look of the Big 12 is the coaching choices. Unfortunately, many of the schools don't "buy-in" to football as much as the schools in the SEC. Because of this, they don't always want to spend the money on the best coaches. Since offense is easier to coach than defense at the college level and the best coaches tend to be defensive-minded, this results in a slant towards the offense. That being said, the best schools in the Big 12 are still attempting to create teams with stout defenses. You only need to look so far as Texas, who had one of the best defenses the past two years despite having a terrible offense, and to OU, who recently brought back the DC who led them to an MNC and multiple top 10 defenses.

You root for your rivals to win. We root for our rivals to fail. We obviously have better rivalries.

I also think about now is when someone links you to the all-time worst cheaters on college football to show you how bama and aburn are the two worst offenders. Win a legit championship and then come talking. Right now all of yours are fake or tainted.

TCU is not better than A&M in any discernible way. Even during our worst decade of football ever we would have thrashed the trash they played week in and week out.

Amazing how it took the sips 4 decades to win one once scholarship limits were put in place. t.u. would be higher on that list if they didn't have the political connections to not get dinged during the SWC.
