i dont get why you are going to make a team you might get traded to suffer from the actions of catspaw. if he trades you without telling them your just gonna quit with your player? whats the point? he doesnt benefit from you playing on another team good or bad

My point is catspaw should not benefit from my player anymore. He has already done unhanded trading, in my opinion...so he shouldn't trade Mojo knowing the inactivity.

You're rebelling against a guy who you're accusing of underhanded trading by putting him in a position where he'll have to trade you underhandedly?

I don't think believe what I am doing is underhanded. In real sports do players don't get upset and then use this against their teams? Upsets people, but happens.

Catspaw lied several times, catspaw benched my player I put money into for what I feel was uncalled for reason, catspaw released parts of PM's I sent to him without my permission which is against GLB rules, etc... Why should a guy that keeps doing things like this benefit?

Sorry, I must not have been clear enough; I wasn't accusing you of being underhanded. What I was saying is that you seem to be banking on the fact that he won't trade you, since that would be underhanded of him to do (knowing that you own't level your guy up). Yet I guess I just don't see what makes you think he has anything against being underhanded, since the whole reason why this started in the first place is because you believe that he engaged in underhanded trading.

I'm also not sure that it's apt to compare this to real football, since you can't hold out. It would be interesting to see what happened if they incorporated a 'hold out' function into this game.

we all get he is lying and is trying to hide something but he doesn't benefit from what your player does after being traded, only before. sure you can do it while you are on the team but once you are no longer on it there is no point. you may think so but there isnt

He is hoping to put Cats in a position where must be released. Being forced to explain to a new owner that the player he is getting isn't going to play to potential and might as well be inactive makes Mojo less tradable. It also would draw the ire of whatever team he was traded to.

It's actually a very smart and leveragable position. Catspaw is forced to waste salary by keeping him, and endure the negative publicity; or he trades him where he takes on more bad publicity (not to mention a steep drop in market value) assuming he can even find a trade partner; or he releases Mojo wherin Cats gets nothing in return (which is Joe's aim all along...and the best solution to the problem, but Catspaw is too whiny and stubborn to go along with it).

The bottom line is JOE wants on a team that isn't stocked with players and an owner who think the kind of behavior exhibited by Catspaw and Billyvassi is acceptable, and I don't blame him. As an owner I understand that side of the dilemma, but it's a lose/lose situation. Just cut him and move on at first chance.

That's definitely what he's trying to do, but if Catspaw is the despicable person that you all think he is, then what makes you think that he won't just say to hell with it and trade him to another team, then just ignore the fallout?

Is there a way a player can see the trade offer while its being made, possibly before the other team accepts it? Then joe could contact the new owner and let him know that there will be no improvement or activity with this player? Or....after the trade is made, joe could contact the new owner and let him know and then the new coach would contact the GLB crew and make them aware of what has happened. Thats the only way I know of, otherwise as you said Catspaw will just do as he has done before!

Even if Joe contacts GLB about it, trading a player isn't illegal, so there would be nothing to bust Catspaw on. The point of it is that, at that point, Joe would just be punishing the new owner for something that the poor guy has nothing to do with.

Hmm... I stopped reading this on page 2...

If collusion is trading someone to/from a team you are on to a team you own and vise versa, then I suppose I'm guilty of collusion as well... which is a ridiculous assertion.

I have traded for a QB on a team that I have another player on and traded away someone who didn't want to be on the team that I had just purchased. It was a fair trade made between myself and the owner of the team I have a player on. Both players were happy with the trade, and both teams were happy with the trade.

That's not collusion. That's just using contacts efficiently for the betterment of everyone involved.

Now collusion would be if an unfair trade were manufactured to make only one team better.
