Question for Alcapown: What did the players (and starters) on your team think when they were suddenly replaced in the middle of the season?

I dont know too much about this situation, but what I can say is both Alcapown and Mamba81 are great people and are very dedicated to this game. I dont think they would do anything to diminish the integrity of this game and league. Alcapown saw an opportunity and went for it. He was lucky enough to get the players. I am sure Mamba informed his team on what was going on.

If there was gutting (which i dont think their was) It was obviously not on purpose and I dont think you can penalize these good people for it. These guys are models of what i would like everyone on GLB should be, they are both great owners, great players, dedicated to the game, and are very good people.

Dont accuse people if you dont know all the facts.

I was one of those players and I didnt mind at all. I play this game for fun, I enjoy talking with my teammates and seeing my teammates do well in the game. I would gladly pass up my starting roll to one of these guys.

I wasn't offering all of those players. I was offering my own player.

Al said he was in need of some players and said he could accomodaate some of us so I took him up on his offer. I asked the guys from my message board if they wanted to follow me where I went and they accepted.

If there is something wrong about that then can figure something out.

As a Chattanooga player, probably biased, here is my opinion

Whether Bort approved it or not, what Mamba81 did was pretty...ok, not sure of the swear word filters here, so I'll use the word crappy. I'm on 1 gutted team already and we're guaranteed to get smoked the rest of the season. I can see why he did what he did, but I sure as hell don't agree with it.

As far as collusion/cheating, unless someone can prove AlCapown conspired with Mamba81 to bring over a bunch of high level players, its not collusion/cheating. Its scanning the FAs and making a good pitch, but not cheating. It upsets the previous balance, but not cheating.

So, assuming AlCapown lured over a bunch of FA due to his charm, the only person who should get crapped on here is Mamba81 for gutting his former team.

Sting they explained this earlier. You had to read several pages back but if you start at the beginning and work your way forward they told us (I think it was Alcapown actually) that he found this guy Mamba who wanted to get rid of his players because he no longer was interested in the team and they both agreed these players should join Alcapown's team. And so Mamba released 10 players whom Alcapown then signed the same day as their release. They couldnt be traded to Alcapown's team because the trade imbalance system would have prevented it. To be fair the owners of the individual players had to be in on it to sign Alcapown's contract offers. That is assuming the players aren't owned by these said same two people using multiple accounts. The owner of the team the players came from then sold the team to another guy berift of the high level talent staffed by mostly CPUs. If this had been done small scale ie ONE guy saying cut me i want to go to my friends team or something of that nature i dont think anybody would have had such a problem with it. However this case clearly violates Bort's, the almighty creator of GLB, definition of collusion and gutting. And i quote 'Collusion' - Two or more people working together to build up one team at the expense of another, and 'Gutting' - Buying a team, stripping it of its resources and then selling the team back for the next poor sucker to buy. I hope this brings you up to speed Sting.

BTW, why didnt Slash ever just axe Axel Rose with his Gibson so he could play for a real band?

Okay that clears it up, he did gut then. All I need to know.

Axl might be a dick but he's a genious. Slash is wasting his talent away on Velvet Revolver while Axl is actually creating a good album (though, its taken what, 12 years to release? haha) Shame they let drama kill them.

Going by the other teams reactions in this league no one is happy. We all sent Bork pm's stating that too. I guess we'll see soon enough.
