And for those itching for the game launch, Corndog is busting his butt running on 4 hours sleep. That should say something.
So I just want to be clear. This time trial guy who is one of glb staffs favorite players, will have no advantage over me if I ever get graced with the ability to play this game, right?

You're obviously trying to walk someone into saying no they won't, but the reality is you're just trolling because you're bored. Years of doing the same thing about every little thing over and over means you're just an old dog. I can go 5 years back and find some posts of yours if you'd like.
Of course testing the game in alpha gives you an initial advantage after launch into beta. If you think that means the more active testers...bhall, Time Trial, myself, etc. are going to win all the trophies you're mistaken. The learning curve is quite small in GLB2. Those who are generally good in strategy type games are going to rise to the top, the same way they have here.
If you roll back time to this GLB's launch, you'd see that early USAPL was quickly dominated by new talent. Were there alpha people at the top of the game? Sure, but they didn't have some magic advantage other non-alpha users couldn't overcome.

Not trolling at all. More and more time passes that certain users get to play that game and they get more and more experience. I don't know what any of the shit you guys are talking about means. Glb keeps assuring me that I will be at no disadvantage when I see post after post discussing shit I'm not privvy to. Get Fucking real if these think these fun "inside joke" posts between the favorites is helping draw excitement to the game.
Also. You can't compare early glb to early glb2, good try. A football rpg game was new last time. Thousands of users came in, naturally some will be better than alpha testers. Now people have tried a football rpg game, there aren't going to be thousands of new players. Glb had it's football rpg boom once, it isn't happening again.

I imagine he'll have a substantial advantage over you--you're a whiner and have sucked at the original GLB, and I'm pretty sure your weaknesses will carryover to the new game.
The rest of us, however, will probably adapt just fine.
Originally posted by Corndog To be honest, if you didn't have Egotist on almost every player you'd probably be fine.
a) that means that I need to rebuild every bot to fix that; and b) I'm enraged at the salary increases on the traits in general.
I know you put a LOT of time in to this, but I think your vision is going in the wrong direction.

I won three of the four age-specific seasons that we played on the test server so far, including winning from day one of testing. That's against the what... ten or fifteen active owners?
Now they've gone and changed the basic building blocks of the player development system... which we are now going to test so that it isn't complete shit when everyone else is invited to play.
