Really depends on what level you are. If you are speaking from a level 37's point of view then maybe you are right. However I dont believe in putting many points into strength. I find it fairly useless.

I agree, if you are a lower level you can get away with it. I just don't like people coming on here acting like they are gods gift to glb knowledge and telling others with an opinion to gtfo.

You don't need maxed TV

You don't "need" agility, speed, strength, vision, or any of the SAs. Fact is they all HELP toward getting sacks.

TV is the best thing you can use to improve sack numbers still.

I've found with the whole vision nerf that First Step is pretty important but I will be pulling TV to 10 next on my DE.

I've found speed to be better. Although maxed First Step basically does what Agility does so I can see your point of view as well.

Speed is feast or famine. Agility can get you around the OT in time in some cases to still make a play. Get caught by the blocker with a primarily speed built DE and its game over, for that play anyways.

Unless of course the OT really does suck.

what about the defensive focus (Tactics)... does it help passrushing DE's to set it to Pass or can I set it to Run to get more tackles

Time to update that training section to reflect the following:

Intense train Agility and Stamina until Agility can be capped
Then train Speed and Stamina until Speed can be capped

etc...

That's how I'm doing my slow built de. Agil to 61 before anything - single trained it and saved shopping tokens, then speed/stam on intense.

I did Speed/Stamina first then Agility/Vision......that worked out decent too. I've got 68 Speed and 80 Agility now at level 20.

Did that too but occasional speed/agi. 78.5 speed and 37 agi at lvl 16, will be able to 4:1 cap agi at 20-22.

I wanted to bump this thread to hear what people think the new sim does to this build strategy. I imagine there might be a lot of half built speed DEs out there who will never get there chance to shine

Or maybe things will look better for them in a couple seasons. Any thoughts?

i got a speed DE with 40+ vision, and all of his sacks this season (scrim and regular) have come from underneath sacks (instead of going around the OT he makes a move inside after engaging with the OT).
but besides that i cant get much pressure
