Good evening sports fans and welcome to the 3BSN Pregame Show. This week features a series of matchups that are absolutely “make or break” for the playoff picture. Some teams are already cemented in, but others are fighting for their shot. While some organizations look all but out, they remain dangerous as the role of spoiler.
Tampa Bay Tiger Sharks (2-8) at Charm City Headset Jockie (5-5) The Tigers of Tampa Bay looked good in the game before last as they won their second contest of the season. However last week sent them slumping back to their losing ways at the hands of Whitchurch. Charm City on the other hand looks to be in virtual free fall losing their last three games. Charm City has the skill players to be competitive and desperately need this win. The Tiger Sharks lack the depth on defense to challenge Charm City in the late quarters. However, if the Tigers can force something to happen on defense it could be their day, but I doubt it. Charm City 27 Tampa Bay 16
Florida LightningBolts (8-2) at Big 12 Champions (8-2) Normally this would have game of the week written all over it, but both of these teams are simply jockeying for playoff position. Both teams are on multiple game winning streaks and both teams like to run the ball effectively. The ferocity of the Champions offensive line is well known and the Bolts have done nothing less than demolished the competition. While both teams on offense look similar, with a slight edge to the Big 12 O-Line, the defense is another story. The Bolts have managed to shut down other offenses completely or severely cripple their output. I’m a defensive guy; I got to take the Bolts. Florida 20 Big 12 Champs 10
Denver Stallions (6-4) at Whitchurch Mouseketeers (3-7) Denver wasted no time heading back to their winning ways courtesy of the Menace, and Whitchurch managed to eke out a close game against Tampa Bay. While we are in awe of Mr. Disney and his stable of personnel, we are unsure of his depth and ability to slow down the Stallions who are in the fight for playoff contention. Still something does sit right with me and the Denver D. I am choosing this as my upset special of the week, and the Mouseketeers play spoiler. Denver 17 Mouseketeers 20
Greensboro Tsunami (2-8) at Indianapolis Warlords (5-5) This is again a battle for playoff contention as the Warlords look to quickly right the ship after last week’s loss against the conference leading Bombers. The Tsunami on the other hand lost a close game to the Wolverines. Look for the Warlords to do what they do best, and that’s pass the ball. If new QB Trip McNellis can set up a confident relationship with BDizzle’s latest interview, Sticky Hand, things might get interesting. However, I think the Warlord’s air assault is too much for the under leveled Tsunami secondary. Indy 24 Greensboro 17
Birmingham Bombers (10-0) at NewDawn Thrashing Badgers (7-2-1) GOTW The conference champs roll into NewDawn who are riding a winning streak of their own into the playoff picture. Birmingham continues to play a ball control running attack with a stifling defense which shut out the Warlords last week. NewDawn will utilize their balanced attack of Quickswitch and Slasher. I expect to see more passing than normal from NewDawn and Salvatore might have the opportunity to dethrone the last undefeated team in BBB#10. They have the tools to do it, but I think the big boss of the east rolls on. Birmingham 20 NewDawn 16
Northeast Storm (2-8) at Virginia Woverines (7-3) A tale of two cities the Storm has been less than perfect while Virginia led by the capable JD “is this” Justice control their own destiny. Virginia has proven they can win even with two junior guards in the starting ranks. Look also for exploited matchups over the middle with journeyman TE Nightmare Matchup. While we respect the Storm and their tenacity, they are just outmatched against a team that can’t afford to go soft. The secondary is just cutting their teeth and half the D-Line looks robotic, this will be too great a matchup for the Storm D. Virginia 31 Storm 9
Pittsburg Deatons (4-6) at Lake Erie Menace (1-9) The Menace are on a four game losing streak and the Deatons have a dirty two game streak of their own. A win by the Menace would be a knockout blow to Pittsburg’s playoff chances. Look for the Menace to try it in the air. While they won’t stop the Deatons on defense, they will attempt to simply outscore them. Pitt will try to slow the game down courtesy of Fast Willie and their D-Line should give the Menace O-Line all they can handle. This game is won in the trenches and I say Pittsburg keeps the dream alive. Pittsburgh 30 Lake Erie 20
Bay Area Wolfpack (1-9) at Ludlow Lions (8-1-1) Two teams moving in different directions. The Wolfpack are enduring a 9 game losing streak while Ludlow has a 8 game winning streak. The Wolfpack can throw the ball as evidenced by Pro Bowl selected Ace Rocket, but the Ludlow defense is known to be stingy. Look for Ludlow to slow the game down and force their style on the visiting ‘Pack courtesy of the no named defense. Ludlow 17 Bay Area 13
That's all the time we have. We'll see you on the field.

Great game tonight, we're really looking forward to Monday. This will definitely be a test for us, good luck.
"Dam you Sante Fa, you were supposed to win. now we will just have to beat Blitz"
sorry man, that was a messed up game but such is life on GLB
we got way too cocky... we made the mistake of letting some of our back-ups get more playing time and it bit us in the ass (not to mention the fact that the simulator did some crazy things) I knew Bellevue was a good team but I wanted to appease our human players bc we have alot of them. I figured we had already got through the gauntlet of tough teams so I could let some other guys get significant reps. Whoops, won't make that mistake again.
Good game Birmingham. You had us chasing the game from early on and your D kept us out of the endzone. We couldn't convert when it really mattered and it cost us the game. I'm happy that we at least managed to slow down your dominant run game but unfortunately you could still put the points up. Gl on your quest for perfection!
and Nighthawks... man i really do have to give you guys credit, you put that nasty little L on both us and the nation. In the beginning of the season i really underestimated you guys but you have earned my full and upmost respect.
