I think the group potentially could be both too little and the wrong people. From what I am reading here so many things are not even suggested as improvements and the game will be far from what it could have been.

They should be all set to facilitate a full blown open testing phase now as we are many weeks past what the promised as the launch date. So capacity must be in place.

testing and playing it competitively isnt really the same thing. not many people enjoy sitting around all day making players and watching tons of games.

you dont have to be in the server to suggest improvements. im not sure how you know what has and hasnt been suggested but feel free to suggest.

Not as a direct shot against what you're saying but your two statements actually work against each other with the reality. Us being over there making suggestions for improvements has inevitably pushed the would have been launch date back. Bort's pretty adamant that they aren't going to shift to beta (aka have people pay) until the game is ready.

Bort spent a lot of time fixing up all the defensive plays and that was the real delay, but it's not like nothing is getting done over there. The limiting factor right now isn't quantity of testers, it's quantity of Bort's/Corndog's/Thorn's, lol. It's not like the devs over there are twiddling their thumbs wondering what work to do.

I would probably double down on flex if they added an intrigue like coaches to the current simulation of GLB Classic. Let's go back to Beta.
