Probably wouldn't even have to play that Professional tier which is the next tier after the one we are just about to get started on. Just have it set up so the salary cap could be figured out from what we do. So will probably be at least another week or so. But I don't know what all they have yet to do outside of figuring out the salary cap still.

There has been some talk about jamming the WR at the LOS which could be a new ability and/or add new skills to some positions.

The lower level tiers being watchable/fun should be a big help. I think we can all agree here that PeeWee/Rookie/Sophomore is flat out painful to watch. You can chuckle for a while, but there is really no enjoyment in those dots. The interactions are terrible.

Not only do GLB2 players seem to 'grow' at a healthy rate, but the very bottom tier is pretty watchable/enjoyable. Cav, I liken it to back when we had those Naked Mole Rat/Alpine Golfers games. They weren't top tier, I had more of that top tier interaction in USAPL with the Bourbon Street Bullies, but the rivalry and games were still fun.

I'm with bhall in that I'm not sure how they handle the parity aspect, though. Especially if they go divisions (which I'm not a fan of) where you could get even less uber competitive games in a season. The ladder games will always bail you out from complete boredom in those situations, but it's very possible with divisions that you could have some wasted seasons.

Just to be clear I do like the divisions within the league idea. I just am not so sure I like the leagues themselves divided into Gold/Silver/Bronze. But I do understand that makes it easier for them to sort out when teams disband and what not. I just kinda like the idea more that you stay within the same group because I feel that makes the bottom tier teams try and better themselves. At least that is how I used to see it within the pro ranks.

Uh, it seems you have a misinformed opinion about divisions.

They really aren't that different than just being in a league. The only difference is that you'll play against three of the eleven other teams twice.

Right, but only God can help you if you're placed in a division with crap teams. You could have 6 'bye week' games if you're grouped with 3 crap teams (as opposed to just playing them once you're now potentially doubling the 'pain'). Can't look at things in an ideal world where we have absolute parity. If that was the case we wouldn't have had a million league structure/sorting changes in this game.

Although I guess some would view being put in a crap division as a positive, and others hate their lives because in the same league they could put in a tough division.

Eh there is a world load of difference between the structuring needed here and over there imo.

You could turn your team around relatively quickly in GLB2 and make them go from a 100 point loss to a win. Here not so much.

Even if all three other teams in your division are godawful, that's still only 6 out of 30 games.

Ladder games should in theory really help mitigate the "pain" of disparity. If ladder works how we hope it will, worst case scenario, only 50% of your meaningful games will be competitive.

I disagree on turning your team around relatively quickly.

You're blurred by our test server ability to create players of any level on the fly, in combination with our ability to full respec as much as we want.
