Will some unbiased folks please chime in on this quote and tell him how stupid this mentality is so he will maybe come out of his delusion?

2 things:

1. LHF is right in that you could not get it done in the big 12. I dont follow the big 12 nor do I follow A&M, but dont remember them winning the big 12 very often.

2. There is not doubt that the SEC is at the top of the food chain in college football. It is the best conference and has been for many seasons.

Yes, we'll try to hire better coaches than the two who have won more championships than Sumlin. Hell, over the time McWilliams was at UT, he won only one less championship than A&M despite A&M being in their hayday of cheating, and Mackovic won just as many SW championships as A&M during his time and as many Big 12 championships in his two years coaching in the Big 12 as A&M did in their entire time in the Big 12.

But that's the difference between UT and A&M. We look at those coaches as failures despite the fact that they achieved just as much, if not more, than A&M did at the time they were coaching. You like to talk shit about Mackovic, but he won as many Big 12 titles in two years as A&M did in 16 years. Aggie in a nutshell.

1. Yes, I am correct. A&M won the Big 12 once, all the way back in 1998. That's the last championship of any kind that they've won.

2. The SEC might be the most top-heavy conference in the country, but it also features a lot of patsies and uses creative scheduling techniques to inflate its teams' records. Just look at A&M last season. They finished in the top 10 because they went 11-2 in the SEC. Of the 5 other SEC teams that ended the season ranked, A&M only had to play 3 and they went 1-2 against those teams. The rest of their schedule regular season schedule consisted of nobodies. So should going 11-2 in the SEC really mean that much if they only had 1 good win and they went 1-2 against the real teams they faced? No. But that's the benefit of the SEC schedule.

Georgie is another perfect example. They finished ranked number 5 because they went 12-2 and are from the SEC. The only ranked SEC teams they played were Florida, South Carolina, and Bama, and they went 1-2, getting killed by South Carolina. Other than those three games, they played nobody in the regular season and even played Georgia Southern and Buffalo, with GS being essentially an extra buy weekend two weeks out of the CC.

When you look at the schedules in context, those are not the records of top 10 teams.

The past is the past. It's stupid to still be talking about conference switches and what it said about the two conferences. Auburn stunk last year and is a great team this year--and no matter what conference they played in that would have been the case. Had they switched conferences in the offseason, would it have been fair to say that their resurgence was proof of how good the SEC is? Florida stunk this year and was a very good team last year--and no matter what conference they played in that would have been the case. Had they switched conferences this year, would it be fair to say their demise was proof that the SEC isn't that good?

It's all a fallacy. Idiotic, desperate bitching from jealous Big 12 homers and A&M/SEC haters. A&M is better than they were pre-Manziel, period. And:

Have a nice retirement Mack. Of course, he retired as head coach in much the same way Lincoln retired as president, but nonetheless...

I just try to make conversation. I also like calling out sips and their problems as they have done to us the past decade+.

Wait...you playing Sam Houston again? Let me look at your schedule. You lose Evans and your defense is worse than Mackovic ever had.

Manziel IS A&M. He is truly a college HOFer and one of the all-time greats. The way he rallied his team, not only on the field, but got after them on the sidelines, kept them in the game mentally and got them to believe. His bowl game summed up what he was all about; "The show in Aggieland"
He is one of the best ever in CFB.
For 2014, I see ATM returning to somewhere between 5-7 wins next season without JF there to bail them out. 4-8 would not be out of the question. With that in mind, the contrast shows how truly great of a college QB he truly is. He was fun to watch, but now reality returns to College Station.
