You are right about one thing, with you guys in the SEC there is no way that we'll end up over there...once atm rises to their typical level of mediocrity/irrelevancy the SEC's gonna sober up and be sorely disappointed when the beer goggles come off and they find that the babe they picked up looks a whole lot like Zach Galifianakis in drag. Who wants to get into the middle of that mess?

Why is it every aggie, at some point in their post, uses the phrase "butt-hurt"? Is that what you're checking for at home games when you all lean over and place your head just behind the butt of the person in front of you? I thought that was just your way of greeting each other.

Out of all of your sports COMBINED, y'all have 14 conference wins this year. Only 3 of those came from football and men's basketball.

FYI, aggie's increase in travel costs due to the SEC move will be over 1 million per year. I'm sure all your student-athletes will also enjoy the increase in travel time.

IIRC, it wasn't factoring in increased gas prices. But that's another good point. It's nice that you're willing to throw away tax payer money just because you're tired of being in UT's shadow.

Your AD already admitted it was because you were scared of UT. No going back from those words now. And I believe it was tax payer money when your athletics had to take out a loan from your academic side.

Our AD didn't HAVE to take a loan for anything. It was offered and we did to conclude facilities improvements sooner, and paid it back as per terms.

Please, PLEASE, provide me the link where Byrne said we were leaving because we were scared of the sips. If that were the case, why would he then offer to play y'all in any sport at any time, at which point Deloss tucked his tail and ran?

So, enlighten us. aggy AD was operating at a deficit for years. Was the money to cover that deficit going to fall like manna from the heavens? I don't recall Byrne actually saying aggy was "scared," but maybe what LHF was thinking about was that e-mail Byrne sent out in July of last year implying that aggy was afraid of the power Texas had due to the deal with ESPN and aggy's only choice was to move to the "SEC? PAC-12? Bigger-10?"

And don't be a dolt. You and everyone else in the wide, wide world of sports knows that Texas ain't afraid to play aggy. Texas owns aggy in every sport. 76-37-5 in football. Hell, aggy doesn't even have a winning record against Texas in aggy's own stadium (22-25-2 at Kyle Field against Texas). It's something like 137-85 in men's basketball and 60-15 in women's basketball. It's 239-121-5 in baseball. Had aggy stayed in the Big XII, aggy would have had to beat Texas every time they played in every sport for the next four decades just to get to at least .500 in every sport with Texas.

I'll paint a picture for you: when you initiate the divorce, don't honor the pre-nup and choose to shack up with a dirty leg, you don't get to come to Thanksgiving dinner every year. That's why Texas isn't playing aggy. But it sure as shit isn't because Texas "tucked tail and ran." Ironic you would choose those words considering that you're stumping for the university that actually did tuck its tail and run from the conference.
