Gerr, how many teams are you coaching for?!?!?! You Peewee whore!!!O_o

Several, but none in the same league. My argument isn't about the number of teams a person owns or coaches for, its that I don't like when those teams are in the same league, mainly the high end Gold league. When I created the lushes, I could have easily put them in the same league as TIA, but I didn't on purpose.

I am trying to take 89stepside's advice and drop it since I already got an admin to say they would take a look at it. But people keep coming at me with insults, often on unrelated tangents or on ignorant presumptions that are simply untrue.

That's not true Gerr. You complained a few seasons back when I was OCing for a Gold team and I had a lolgm spot on TIA. This is when it all started. They weren't even in the same conference from what I remember. You were also complaining about Ping. I dropped my lolgm spots on all the teams I was on just so you would stop crying.

I can't see why this is such a big deal. It's difficult to coach one Gold team, much less two. I applaud anyone that can do it and I made RK aware of that through PM.

Whats wrong with just being the bigger man and dropping the subject and moving along? A lot of dam animosity from past seasons seems to be rearing its head in a single thread.

Unlike a lot of leagues, pee wee gold is full of history. In fact most owners and staff that exit gold always make their way back. Silver leagues are the new copper leagues.

I coached 2 defenses in the same season on the same side.

Trust me, it was a huge DISadvantage.

Doh, misread your statement...

But my argument doesn't have anything to do with Gold coaches helping Silver teams get to Gold. On every team I have ever been a coordinator for that I didn't own, I told the owner that if they do make it to Gold, I will drop from their team, which helped push them to learn what they could from me.

Also, you make it sound like I couldn't have gotten to Gold my Silver season without help, even though I proved myself all season by beating several Gold teams and several current Gold teams that were in that very hard division. LE was nothing more than extra insurance, but didn't get me here.

Are you trying to get a rise out of me by bringing up stuff from 7 seasons ago that has nothing to do with the point I was recently trying to make? That topic was put to rest a long time ago, and I am trying to do the same with the current one.

I'd agree with this, also creates problems when the two teams play each other.

A lot of it depends on how much time you have. If you barely have enough time for one team, then yes, having two teams would be, especially in the same division. Bit if you have a lot of free time to where you can fully scout for your #1 team and put in some time for your #2 team, you can try things on your #2 team and if they work, adopt them on your #1 team, which IS an advantage.

The advantage is bigger when you have teams in different conferences so they don't play each other. Also gives you experience against both conferences for when you play in tourneys and in the championship game, pending a person makes it there.

I never said what RK did was easy or a HUGE advantage. But it does beg a question, would RK's MG have done as well this season if he didn't have his TP team to try things out on at the Gold level and get more Gold experience this season in general? I dunno.

Like I said, I don't fault RK for doing it, I fault GLB for allowing it to happen. I consider this a bug, and people will use bugs to their advantage until someone says something to the admins about it and they fix it. Do we think ill of those people who use the bug, no, it's part of the game at that point, but that doesn't mean it should remain in the game.

Anyone else need to get the last word in on this subject, or feel like they need to make some negative comment towards me, or can we lay this subject to rest?

You're a pretty big douche if you're experimenting with somebody else's team to help yours.

And I should point out that it's almost always a disadvantage to DC 2 teams. But it can be an advantage to OC 2 teams if the teams are similar with similar builds (if the builds are different, then it doesn't matter much. One team can have succees with certain plays that another can't simply b/c of builds).

Offenses typically change a lot more than defenses (unless you're playing a really predictable offense that only calls a few plays in each formation, or uses their custom slots stupidly and does things like only ever use a receiving FB on pass plays). So if your two teams use similar defenses (face it, most DC's have certain philosophies even if the plays are different), getting two cracks at that defense is a big advantage. Offense is really more about choosing certain plays that attack the other team's defensive weak points (within the confines of the build plan). So two attempts at pretty much the same defense is a boon.

I will point out that at times, DCing 2 defenses can be a good thing. If one of your teams gets scorched by a certain play, you can fix things for the second time around guessing that the OC will try that plan a ton in the next game. However, most good OC's know which teams are actually changing their defenses and won't try the same exploit. But I'll admit I've gotten some bad OC's with this.

I'm not trying to get a rise out of you. Just pointing out that you're being hypocritical.

Also, not saying you couldn't/wouldn't have made gold either.
