The tourney is overrated in my opinion as it's become pretty obvious in order to get over the Elite 8 hump you need to be heavily boosted. HHM was boosted, DI was boosted, Andro was boosted... If anyone cares to put together a non-early boosting tourney next season PLEASE do. And I've heard every argument in the book about boosting teams so save me the drama on it, I get it. I just personally care more about winning my league at this point then a tourney, maybe that'll change next season if we make it to Gold... maybe not.. I still wish boosting wasn't allowed in pee-wee though it'll never happen. Maybe if boosting wasn't allowed till a player hit Level 10.

True, but I boost when it makes sense for my builds, not for any particular game. I boost only when the following conditions have been satisfied:

1) Primary Attribute is at 61
2) Secondary Attribute is > 23

The experience loss isn't that much by that time in the season, and the losses due to training aren't that much either. I don't think that late boosting teams are going to have that many players who are going to be better than the guys built the way I build.

Dude it will become the trend. 3 of the 4 Gold teams in the playoffs all boosted early. You just have to have the right depth and pick the right players to boost early. We still use a 3 phase type of boosting and it still works. Lone Star and He Hate Me both boosted early as well and they are #1 and #2 in the West. We boosted early and was ranked 1 in the East. I guarenttee you more teams will start taking this approach as I do get pms asking when and how they should go about doing it. Carolina boosted mid season I believe and made a nice little run. I think it was Carolina.

Check your posts... you used to have a running total for player levels, I'm sure if you dug into that you would find out whodunnit.

So do your early boosters end entering the post season at level 12, or do they make 13 like everyone else. If that is the case, then early boosting really has very little drawback.

This season is was 14 for late boosters.

give or take, about half our boosters made 14 by the second game, but none of us went early.

It seems like boosting throwing QBs, WR, CB, and other positions that get a ton of plays wouldn't lag you back at all, but boosting a DT or FB usually results in a level 12 first playoff round.

Depends on your depth at each position as well. Some teams use a ton of LBs and CB's so naturally they aren't all going to hit Level 11 (14 with boost) especially if they boost early, same with HB's since a lot of teams use 3 HB or more systems.

I got slapped around all over gold this year. Thunder66 owns my ass, he practically built a guest house there.

But yeah, HC scored as many touchdowns as my cat in three games against us this year.

South Park Cows put a hurting on the Scumdogs today dropping more points on them than anyone has all season(including scrimmages). We played possum all season long to make sure our game plan was going to work when it counted. Next up we are going to take it to yet another team you have ranked higher than us. Keep our spot up there in Gold warm for us because we are basically walking through the entrance right now.
