Yeah, but not for the ladder. That's like saying that you don't need to play a team in the GLB Official tourney just because you beat them in the regular season.

Not really.

Beating them in the ladder is no different than beating them in a league game.

They are two different "leagues" in a sense. If beating them in the league counted towards ladder, that would be one thing, but being at the top of the ladder doesn't mean much if you aren't defending it against the next best teams.

I have no idea why they're not using a division system but your absolutely right...If I had a top team I'd want to face the next best teams instead of chumps.

Ladder games are scheduled on the fly and the schedule is based upon current rank on the ladder. For example, my team is currently ranked 29. I had a ladder game against the team currently ranked 20 and played a game yesterday against the team ranked 22. I don't have a ladder game scheduled for tomorrow yet.

I believe it currently pulls a team within 10 spots on the ladder from you (plus or minus). Right now that's kinda a mess because there are so few teams so "seasoned" teams are playing "veteran" teams. Once there are enough teams there's a chance a ladder game will be played against an older (or younger) team.

You know I actually proposed this as a similar suggestion for GLB .pb (Post-Beta, or Lead; both work)...

With league + ladder, seasons are actually longer. Both in quantity of days and quantity of games.

huh? that is why i proposed not playing them in the ladder because all scheduled games count towards the ladder silly.

You would be facing someone within 10 ranks that isn't in your league.

Because why play the teams in just your league multiple times? If there are 8 Regions of good teams to play you would want to get around the circle right? You already play the teams within your league in league games.
