When I say Bronze Silver and Gold, I don't mean the current peewee structure, where Gold is basically a World League. There will be a multiple Gold Leagues.
I don't know if that is planned to be a static number, or if it will fluctuate, but there will definitely be more than one.

not diminshing your accomplishments here, you won WL multiple times and congrats but the truth is the 1st mistake glb did was get rid of the pyramids. The 2nd mistake was adding the WL.
sure the WL made the game better for a minority of people, but it ended up alienating the majority.

The gap between teams in terms of talent was huge when WL was introduced so it probably had to be done. It did kill a lot of forum engagement tho and certainly alienated to some extent part of the userbase. But it was better for competition at that point for this game.

At least that's what I've heard from Bort and other admins...that people miss rivalries between leagues. There won't be a best Gold league.

not to mention now people just look for the easiest Nat. Pro league and hope they can roll through to make WL. People don't even respect the National Pro leagues anymore.

agreed. If it needed to be done, it could have been handled with a separate tournament without affecting the entire heart of the game. The "WL is the only one that matters" mantra killed the spirit of the lower leagues.

Couple of thoughts. Perhaps have another layer of playoffs. Play to win your league (i.e. we are gold league #7 champs). Then all gold league champs play each other to produce an overall gold champion. It would be the GLB2 equivalent of the four natty pro champs playing for a WL championship (if there was no WL).
Also, and I know the ladder system is probably etched in stone at this point, but what if you played games across leagues. Sort of like the college basketball Big East vs. ACC type scheduling. Could have something like gold league #1 top eff level team plays gold league #2 top eff level, gl#1 2nd eff level plays gl#2 2nd eff level and so on till gl#1 worst eff level plays gl#2 worst eff level team... And to make it really interesting have the stats compile for the league rivalry i.e GL#1 was 7-3 vs GL#2. Give some lol trophies to owners of the teams in the league that wins the head to head competition, give some trophies to dots for most outstanding offensive, defensive and ST player. Could rotate which league plays which seasonally (i.e. next season gold league #1 plays gold league #3).
