But accorsing to his own point system:

Scoring - 1.5 Gold Win, 1.0 Silver Top 17 Win, -.5 Silver Top 17 Loss, -.25 Gold Loss

Gold teams play gold teams all the time, and some of them are like 15-1... they are going to be at the top of the rankings for sure in his points system.

I'd rather see something more opinionated, similar to the rankings for Pro/WL, although that would require a commitee.That system is too linear to give anything accurate.

Hmm... interesting idea.

My question is why would scrimmage games against gold teams, that means more to the silver team then the gold, mean anything to Silver ranking? Also why rank Silver teams, as I understand it win the League Gold Cup your in. If not try again next Season. Trust me once you get to gold it will take up most of your time just to keep up with scouting.

Because even if a gold team is overlooking you, they're still 55/31 with a sophisticated gameplan for the most part which makes them a tougher matchup than 13-15 of your league games.

Why do we rank silver? because it's something to do.

I just personally care more about winning my league at this point then a tourney, maybe that'll change next season if we make it to Gold... maybe not.. I still wish boosting wasn't allowed in pee-wee though it'll never happen. Maybe if boosting wasn't allowed till a player hit Level 10.

That's a good point, the Gamecocks may have won the silver tourney if we had any boosted players, but we didn't and DI had their whole offense.

I was going to say we made the Final 4 w/o boosting, but IIRC I don't think DoRD was boosted either, so that doesn't mean much, lol.

I agree with your point that they are in an unfortunate position. I know these are your rankings, but I feel that if you really believe Crib Midgets are that good then they should be ranked higher. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with ranking a 14-2 team above a 16-0 team if you really think they're better. Just like in college football, at the end of the season there are often teams with 2 losses are who better teams than those with 0 or 1 loss, it's all about who you play.

Do you want your rankings to be a representation of the 10 best teams in silver? Or do you want them to be a representation of the 10 teams that have the best shot of reaching gold?

They're your rankings, so do what you want, but I think you need to clarify what you want your rankings to mean. If they're the 17 best teams, then put Crib where you think they should be. If they're the most likely to reach gold, then they should be ranked low.
