Yay, the official who boosted early championship!

Well only the team that wins USA Pro has a right to say anything. So whomever wins the league has a right to contend that they are the #1 team. Anyone who waited to boost, then lost in the playoffs after boosting has no claim at #1 anyway.

And t-pat, weren't you one of the guys who told me that level doesn't matter?

I seem to recall the vast majority of USA Pro teams told me that their teams were superior because of their great builds and tactics, and not because they started this game 2 weeks before everyone else as many contended. Then after they lost, then they said that they didn't have a fair chance because they were a level or 2 behind.

Can't have it both ways.

Either admit that :

1.) Admit the ONLY reason that USA Pro is the best is because you got a 2 week head start on everyone else

OR

2.) Admit that other teams have better builds and tactics than you.

The Bullies have been by far the most gracious in defeat and also proved to be the best in tactics along with DDL, but even DDL is higher leveled than the Bullies I think.

Admit that you are a pompous ass first.

Obviously it's a bit flawed, but if these guys really are the best, they should be able to make it through the playoffs and we'll see them in US Pro next season where they can really be evaluated.

Sorry, we changed that. USA AAA2 is now The World Pro League. We have no affiliation with USA Pro.

Levels really dont matter. It all depends on the builds of the players and how well their builds mesh together. Along with great tactics. However, when you have a great team that has all of that, then leveling up just makes us better. More skill points to assign to more attributes, making our guys better builds.

Let me summarize your paragraph:

Levels don't really matter. But levels do matter.

Thanks for that nugget of wisdom!

I wouldn't bother SI. I'm sure he knew it was an intellectually lazy statement when he made it. It doesn't have any meaning.

It's fairly obvious you don't enjoy the greatness that Made is...what he is saying is that Alpha Testers get basically a 3 level advantage over a vast majority of us so it's all about builds until they decide that it's boosting time where they regain their advantage again because when they have to be on equal footing...they don't do nearly as well.

It was only 2... we only had 2 games I think Finkle maybe was at level 3

But I remember fairly well.

Everyone has caught up in levels anyway

Actually everyone *hasn't* caught up. The fact that Bort stopped the reduction of XP's from games and training assures that the day 0 players will maintain their 1-2 level advantage over everyone else until they begin to decline in season 10 or whatever. So we really have 5 more seasons or so until we are *really* on fair ground.

So while the highest level players want to say that *next season* is the one where it will be "fair", I say it won't be fair until the day 0 players have begun their decline to the point where they equal the players made on day 8 or 15.

I'm not complaining. I'm just stating fact. Until then, all I can do is just have a 2nd tier team and wait.

It's close enough to fair right now IMO. I don't feel like Bourbon St or the Aces are at a big disadvantage due to starting 10-14 days later. A couple of levels isn't that big of a deal at this point. Much lower percentage-wise than it used to be.

The only thing that is a little unfortunate this season is the timing of hitting the level 32 equipment upgrades. That's the equivalent of an extra 8-12 skill points heading into the playoffs. Makes it a little tougher, but what can you do?

And there are plenty of players that didnt have the extra days that are elite players or good players in the leagues. I wasnt an alpha player, I was just a normal player signing up for the game. And I would hope that people would say that my QB isnt a complete failure and proof that my Center is not a failure is receiving the award for best Center one year.

my TE Cody Bouley was created Day 7... Sam and Mike were created Day 0... Mike and Cody are both level 32 while Bolster is just level 33... there is not a really big drop off to be honest. I mean Sam and mike were around level 5-6 before Cody was even made.

It's close enough so people can't really complain unless they are a Season or so late.

Level is the #4 thing on the list of what matters. #1-3 (in no order) are build, tactics, and proper team-building (you can have great builds, but if they don't mesh, it doesn't matter).

The thing is, this season has had more changes than any season yet. So if a team boosted early to fix their builds to those changes, they'll have better builds than those who waited. So this season, boosting = better build early on.

Sam a vast majority of season 1 guys didn't come until the day 10-day 25 range so you have 2-4 levels on them even if they waited to boost every season and they will never catch up. The only thing that can make up the difference is great builds.

Jed that makes absolutely no sense. If you waited to boost until late then you could wait all season and see what builds are working best(like Power Backs, agility WRs and CBs, etc.).

Yes, but a game in the middle of the season would give advantage to whoever boosted early, that's what jed tried to point out.
