What you just stated has nothing to do with "burning him". He still has his players. They are free to go where they want, nobody was locked into a contract. Any time spent was dedicated toward last season, and it did not pan out for us. Any time spent in the future is a chance to make it work out and win a championship somewhere else. In addition, any time spent in the past is good experience working on a good team and can be applied in the future as well.

Things don't always work out the way you want tooley, but nobody was "burned", and I think they would agree with me on this.

If I could lock this thread I would but I cant, I can however comment to everyone that rtl didn’t burn anyone however if given the chance I am sure there were several of us that would have been willing to buy the team and do a take over ownership deal; that didn't happen but you can’t fault anyone for this. You have to move on and get the fuck out of the past today is today 2 seasons ago was 2 seasons ago, you can’t change what you said or how you felt. Yeah tooley might not be in love with me like he is Hammer but he is trying to better his team and you can't fault him for that. when I left Florida my contracts ended 10 days into the season all I did was make them end on day 40 and as stated if you don't like it kindly fuck off


I enjoyed my season with LAR and I hope to enjoy my stay with OTR, and that’s I gots to say about that. I like rtl and skull and mpapara and we still all talk and keep in touch. We were a tight nit group and I won’t say anything bad about anyone over there because honestly I have no dirt on anyone, other than that one time..... But that’s a different thread at a different time..... mmmmmmmm chocolate.... ok anyways I am going to leave it at this things in LA would have been awesome to keep together but things just didn't work out that way and I completely understand rtl and his decision it might not have worked to my or benefit but hey that’s the way it is...

In closing I am going to leave you guys with a little saying my grandfather left with me when I was 18 years old... he said "Brian, you know life’s a bitch and then you die" 1 week later he was dead...

Yeah, without a drink I can look at this one a bit differently today.

Burned was probably a poor choice of word. IMO, the best thing for an owner to do in a situation like what happend with LA, is to try to turn the team over to a GM, or somebody who has been there since day 1. To blow it up and gut it, and then stay in the same league is a suspect piece of judgement, but I probably would've felt differently had RTL chosen to join OTR........

To be fair, RTL did offer all members of LA max bonuses and 40-day contracts, so he was still looking out for the guys, which was a stand-up move.

Otto vs. OTR looks to be a great rivalry this season though, and lets not count out the Bastards. This year, as opposed to last, there is definitely a huge drop-off after the top 3 imo. Still time for things to change with new recruits, but it'd have to be pretty dramatic.

I wouldn't count out San Jose. They played OTR, South Otto, and LA very tough last year. Not sure what happened to them at the end of the season though...
