Player Attributes
Physical Attributes Football Skills
Strength: 84.24 Blocking: 19.96
Speed: 54.9 Tackling: 35.85
Agility: 50.11 Throwing: 7
Jumping: 23.04 Catching: 9
Stamina: 31.76 Carrying: 9
Vision: 30.52 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 22.72 Punting: 7

with 346102 in SA pass rushing and this is a guy at lvl 29 playing in AAA Africa and he has 3 sacks all year.

My guess is that flip my players speed and str and we're probably closer to what JJ is.

Fair?

You're guy may get some tomorrow against our second string, and I'd wager that one of my guys gets to your QB a couple times.

Oh come on, everyone and their dog knows it's high speed, agility, first step and tunnel vision. When the TV fires, it boosts the already high speed up to stupid levels. The high FS and agility let him accelerate to (or at least near) that top VERY quickly; the OTs have very little chance against him. And if he doesn't make the sack, he still gets to run around with those ludicrous speeds to rack up the obscene numbers of tackles. JJ definitely has 6+ in both of those, probably 8+ in Tunnel.

There's no doubt that builds like that are broken SOMEHOW. CBs were broken last season, posting unreal numbers of interceptions, and they've been toned down. Is 50 sacks a season realistic? Maybe for an entire team, but definitely not a single player. Now, shitty OT builds might be a factor; many people probably just build them like Centers and Guards; huge strength/blocking and not much else. Bad OT AI could be a factor too.

IMO, there are at least 2 obvious things that should be done. First, move the Tunnel Vision SA to the end of the Pass Rushing tree, so that it costs a point extra per level. That's where almost all the other attribute-boosting SAs are (Shutdown Coverage for CBs and Safeties and Protect for OTs are the 2 that come to my mind right away). Second, make the OT Protect ability work for both positions, but only work on pass blocks. This will help reduce the situation we have now, where speedy DEs are raping helpless ROTs.

(Oh, and Helluin, I just had another crazy idea/concept; PM inc!)

Its funny how little most of you know about pass rushing DE's. I bet anything you want his agility is stacked well higher than his speed or strength.

I hate to tell you this, but my DE plays both sides and is equally successful against both OTs. The pass protect ability doesnt help much against builds like his.

this is exactly what it is. I mentioned in my previous post, but wanted to let them figure it out on their own...thanks for telling them.

this makes the most sense to me. I guess the question is, will Bort do anythign to fix this or are people going to be trying to make these builds and then have some guy find a new way to beat the game?

Fail. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=123897

This guy has Speed and Agility over the 2nd soft cap, with all his equipment in Speed. He's doing alright for himself.

Whatever. Sans doesn't put up the stats. But he's a starter on a team with a better record than the Chumps. Oh, did i mention he's a LB now too. And what do you expect from a Developmental player in the D-leagues. I'm aiming for season 6 as his breakout year.

Strength, clearly.

Speed, not so sure.

I'd bet his speed is over the 3rd cap naturally, maybe close to the 4th, and his agility is at 2nd or 3rd cap as well.
