In the preseason we played a split series verses the Raiders in which we were testing out some new strats which have helped us a lot during this season considering how evenly matched our teams were.

For the record we barely lost to the Humpers last year in a game that we played after finishing 8-8, and I believe that they are not only the best team in the West, but probably one of the best teams, if not the best in all of the BBB leagues.

Notice here.. how the Humpers have been elevated to dynastic status & that the game was a pivotal landmark in progress of the now rising Maryland team.

TL DR

It's extremely confusing the amount of hatred leveled toward guys that just wanted to mess around a little. I fail to see where it:

a) hurt anyone.
b) means anything.

...hell we barely lost to the Humpers last game of the season and won the only game against the east with a properly set roster. Yay, good for us! I fail to get excited.




Wait.. is this the same team we're talking about, because here.. the game was worthless & Maryland could have cared less about the outcome. Even the win didn't mean anything.. (kudos for getting the win though)

So..when the chips were down & you didn't think you had a shot at anything.. the game against the Humpers didn't mean squat & you could care less that you played close.. now that you win some games.. it was a landmark game against one of the beast teams in all of GLB...

But.. but um.. you see.. back then it was different, because.. um...

Again.. feel free to deflect from the fact that your opinion of the game has taken a 180 as you go into spin mode to get some 'atta boys' from the rest of the league for doing what all the other playoff teams have been doing for 2 seasons now & make the topic "that party pooper Sanderval doesn't engage in enough haha's with the rest of us on the forum".

I distinctly recall the words "discuss" being listed in the instructions for this thread.. well... here i'm discussing. Just because the discussion doesn't favor the opinion of the thread creator doesn't make the information invalid or untrue. Next time, if you don't want me to rain on your parade with oh.. i dunno.. facts, just start the thread by narrowing the range of discussion by saying "myopic posts only" & i'll gladly leave it be.

Oh wait.. i was supposed to make a bunch of jokes & word puns to make light of my conference losing record against the other side of the league in an attempt to build morale & engender a sense of camaraderie amongst my fellow league mates to forget about the overwhelming amount of losses we've amassed.. damn my granite sense of humor, but I happen to find watching you guys make excuses for why your losses are irrelevant, but your 'almost wins' are exceptional, in a game based solely on wins & losses, kinda funny.




I do recall some teams in the east didn't want to take scrimmages seriously. Now the east is as good as west but, statistics show they are not. And no one wanted to test their team to see.

First thing: The Humpers game was a regular season game. Please try to get atleast the basics straight before you come off half assed.

Second, two of the presason games were jokes, because the bulk of the team wanted t kid around because they felt it would be fun. In those games all the defensive and offensive players swapped spots. If losing after swapping roles is an excuse, fine so be it.

Ultimately the point was completely lost on you, just as it was the first time around. I am sorry that you have a different take on the game than the rest of us and I am sorry we offend you every time we try to have a little fun here on these forums.

Once again, this wasn't a serious post, no one with half a mind could say that the east stacks up better than the west after taking and matching every team pound for pound against one another, but since you did take it this way let me make it clear what everyone else realized off the bat one more time for you..

It was a joke.

In addition I don't really care what you think of the rest of us and what we find funny. Your posts are dry, over analyzed and boring. I am sorry the rest of us don't take your accomplishments and what you have done in this game as seriously as we should.

I am happy for you and your success in this game since it obviously means so much to you.

If this was towards me...1st I don't think it will make me or break me as a man.

2nd I like to win and be competitive in competition. If you don't then you’re not human. No one wants to lose. If you say you don't care, then why play or be involved? (doesn't make since)

3rd I don't post often so again if this wasn't towards me then ignore. I don't think I have ever come on here and bragged about how good we are, or my player is.

So, I guess the question is who pissed in your Cheerios?

Children of BBB#2, there comes a time when somebody must step in and bring some clarity. We all have opinions on this matter, hell, I do, but can we not see that referring to pointeless scrimmage games is worth about as much as a Preseason NFL game? That's surely what they're for isn't it, going for a win but testing tactics and personnel.

Cast your minds back to the BBB#2 Champions Superbowl thing. East won. Great story yet we can't use this either. It was one game, it DOES NOT represent the whole division. The scrimmage games and Week 17 games produced some pretty one sided matchups with the Voodoo playing something like 15th place in the East last season. Can we use this to argue that the west is better?

People of BBB#2, I implore you, if you must argue, do it on the field in the heat of battle when all that comes between winning and losing is several big men in jerseys and their coaches and their tactics and the fans and... anyway. Unless this is some secret propaganda mission created to lower morale on the other side of the conference in order to ensure that come playoff time, their team will have an advantage.

Sorry for the wordiness of that, not really serious(much), but now that's over, who's up for round 95 of the East vs West battle, brought to you this week by Burger King

the east/west battle usually compromises of someone talking a little shit about the east, the east saying 'we'll see come week 16', then the east getting stomped. just saying.

that being said, we scrimmage michigan again in 2 days, and i bet they beat us. going to be very hard to put a team that good in an 0-3 hole.
