I know that the GM that gutted my pro team before I received it had 3 of his own players stranded on there because the mods took it over and cancelled his pending trades. I don't know if that's what happened here or not. But if so then they need to post definite rules and guidelines when it comes to selling teams back and what you are allowed to do. Because now there are alot of teams affected by the Mod takeover.

Again, if anyone knows the name of this Mod please let me know ASAP. For all I know, it was a mod upset about his competition gaining Laurier players and over-stepping his bounds in that manner.

As Tom said already, that Mod was already over-extending his authority in that matter. I've purchased over 60,000 flex points in this site since March 27th, and for a Mod to step in and interfere with matters that directly affect the state of my previous team, as well as mess with Savage's Africa team, because he thinks he's Chuck Norris, then this needs to be brought to Bort's attention so he can weed out a Mod with an inferiority complex that thinks he can play Paulie Policeman without consequences.

I will not spend another dime on this site, and I will turn over ownership to an agent on my team first, or an agent within this conference, if this is how it plays out.

So apparently it shows trades again, as pending, but I go to my team offers page and it isn't there. I am confused, and I haven't seen anything from the powers that be

I put in a customer service request to review this situation. I know even if everything goes back to the way it was, some damage has been done here. If your wife tells you she's been sleeping with the mailman and she's leaving you, her saying "I'm kidding!" doesn't un-throw the chair through the window.

I made a post in the Main GLB Forum also. That might speed up the process if a Mod jumps in there

If he sold his team before the trades were completely processed, then all pending trades are automatically cancelled as of the moment he sells the team. It doesn't matter if they are moments away from being completed. I've seen it complained about when other teams held a firesale and didn't quite complete the sales before they released the team.

By the way, Mods don't have the power to do what you've described here. They are the website type people, unless they have changed their area of responsibility recently. They can however bring the matter up to Thorn or Bort and get them involved.

I guess he should have waited till tomorrow to sell the team back. Let that be a lesson to all you Gutters out there.

My pro team was seized cuz the Owner wasn't talking to anybody and the GM was dumping the team.

That must be what happened. Man that sucks. That REALLY needs to be changed. Why would a sale cancel trades?

I'm sure there was a reason why they added it. Probably to keep from gutting?

Hi everyone. It seems as though there are a couple of misconceptions about what happened with kenscott86's team that need to be addressed.
First, the "mod" who advised him was me, and I'm "admin", not mod. The reason I suggested that he not gut his team, is because that is a terrible thing to do. It's not uncommon to receive complaints from new team owners who have tons of cash, but can't get human controlled players to play on their team full of CPU players. Leaving an established team in place makes a much better transition, makes it easier for new owners to get players, and helps a team stay competitive. Otherwise, we're pretty much giving someone a team, and saying "have fun, but don't count on making the playoffs, or even winning any games".
Second, I did not cancel any trades. The team was automatically reset to a CPU owner (now there's another human running it), but that was not done by anyone in admin (I know that because of the transaction information).
I think tomcollins idea of redoing contracts so that they end when the current season does, is a much better option. If the new owner does well, people will want to stay and join!

That's fine from the get-go, but 2/3ds of the team had already been traded. How can you justify asking him to stop mid-gutting?

You are over-stepping your authority by asking him not to gut the team. If that's a rule then make it a rule. If it's a "suggestion" then put it on the team sale page. But you pleasantly ignored all the ramifications to teams that made the deal, waited an hour, and then started releasing players or trading others.

The moral of the story is "Tough luck?"

Well then tough luck getting another dime out of me Rick, and pass it on to Bort. I started my team with less, and 1/5th of the money he has, and facing a team with players 8 levels higher. I didn't bring over 10 buddies, I recruited the old fashioned way and put together a team that went 12-4. I know it isn't the same thing as a gutted team, but Laurier had no realistic chance of many winning games with the team intact anyhow.
