Alabama vs UT Vols should be interesting this year with the stunt some of the boosters pulled at the SEC media days in Birmingham. Southern hospitality at its finest.

We have us a hell of a meeting comin' up.

In our case it sucks when the first game on the list is the toughest of the season(IMO), especially with such an inexperienced O-line.

You're insane if you think Alabama is the toughest on your schedule. Sure they had a badass class this past year but they are still the average team as last year.

I listed that as the toughest game due to the fact that it's the first game of the season and according to some reports I've read, Alabama is supposed to be pretty solid. Not worldbeaters but solid nonetheless. It doesn't mean that'Bama is the best team we play, that would be FSU,Wake, and the Chikins. But by the time we play those teams we will have developed better team chemistry and the coaches will have a grasp of the team's capability, as in what works and what doesn't.

If that makes any sense..

Maybe after this year, KSU can find a good coach and get a decent team again. It will just take a few extra years to rebound from all the JC recruits. There will be a huge void left in a few years.

first, that wasnt a booster or even a season ticket holder, and im not even sure it was an alabama fan. this had zero connection to the university of alabama.

second, i agree it was ridiculous and shouldnt have been allowed and the lawyers who pulled the stunt should be ashamed. i must say it was kinda funny seeing fulmer so mad and in denial, though. but nonetheless, shouldnt have happened that way.

however, here are the parties involved:

an individual with ZERO connection to alabama aside from he might be a casual fan (as i said, has never even had season tickets) and the fact that he was accused of giving money to recruits by the ncaa, and who is from tennessee

a lawyer that is a season ticket holder to auburn and obviously an auburn fan (kinda funny how the court date was set for 2 days before the auburn/tennessee game this year, huh. but i guess it is the only time they knew fulmer would be in the state)

and the ncaa, who is laughable at best as a governing body of college athletics.

as for alabama, yeah we were mediocre last year. i think we'll be much better this year, but it might not show in the w/l with our schedule. @ arky, @ lsu, @ uga, @ tenn, clemson @ neutral, auburn @ home. that 6 very loseable games right there, then if ole miss or msu catch us on an off night like msu has the last 2 years, thats 2 more loseable games. at least we get a break from ulm

as for the toughest game for clemson, i dont know. i dont know clemson's schedule, but all those other teams mentioned, fsu/wake/usce, are about the same as bama, average with some expected improvement. remains to be seen. should be a good game either way.

I have to agree 59 jucos (sarcasm) is really going to hurt the team in 2 years unless the coach just keeps getting jucos.

Ya Ron Prince doesn't know how to recruit for shit, I mean some of our juco players are pretty good, but the rest just suck. It wouldn't surprise me if he does keep getting juco players.
