What would have been the excuse if our TE hadn't handed you that interception that shoulda been a TD?

Yeah, I don't know what they are trying to get at...they should just be happy they got a silver trophy and be done with it.

And what would we have done? Oh I don't know, still been winning...you do realize there was 8:00 left in the game, we wouldn't have been trying to run the clock out had you scored. You guys were still able to tack one on late to make it respectable.

Sure, feign nonchalance. You really expect me to believe you didn't gameplan for us? If that's the truth, well, you're a bunch of idiots.

You finally make it to the league championship game, and you say "nah, we're just gunna put this puppy in neutral and coast on in.." If so, well, you're setting your team up to fail more often than you're ever going to win from here on out.

The fact, outside of everything said to date, is that we did almost beat you. You can't dispute that. We lost, and I'm nowhere near disputing that.

What you can do is:

1) Claim you're a bunch of drooling monkeys that don't gameplan for arguably your most important game to date (when it comes to bragging rights, which you seem to hold dearest to your tiny pimp hearts).

2) Be a gracious winner.

Obviously option 2 is not within the realm of your conceptual grasp... At least not that has been observed so far. Things can change though, you never know.

And don't go distorting this post into something that it isn't -- I'm not peeved about anything related to our recent matchup -- the better team won. I'm sick and tired (as well as I'm sure the majority of the AAA2 alpha conference is too) of hearing about how alpha is such a terrible conference. They have 3 or 4 teams that are terrible and a couple more middle-of-the-road ones. The rest could all give the Pimps a game they won't soon forget. I wish the "friendly" games would come out sooner so you could own up to your boasting. I'm sure you'd be surprised.

By whom? We've never lost to an Alpha team. You're conference just wasn't as good, nothing wrong with that, you're team did what it had to do and won. Congrats, you guys did a great job in the playoffs.

And FWIW our most important game was Antwerp, it decided promotion or not. The championship game was gravy. Now that we are in Pro, of course the #1 goal will be a Pro championship.

First of all I think the Pimps beat you so you have no room to talk about anything whatsoever, you lost and no matter "that you could've beat them, you didn't and whether or not they gameplanned it doesn't matter. The Pimps however....you've got to be kidding me....oh we didn't gameplan this, thats a child's excuse and you know it, you can act big and bad all you want but you know as well as everyone else you gameplanned it and are using excuses, you won however so it really doesn't matter. I just hope we don't hear more of your "reasoning" during this season if you start losing.

So anyone who loses a championship can't talk about it?

I'm at a loss as to how to take your post. You criticize EM in your first sentence for doing exactly the same thing you do in the second half of your post. Are you exempt because you aren't part of Carthage (the losing team)?

wow so this thread took a turn for the worst...I'm really happy we were able to win the championship and I know I was STOKED about being there. I wanted to win that game by 100

I don't think it's true we didnt game plan, if it is then that makes me pretty mad.

I think(hope) what they're trying to say is that Alpha got no respect all year and going into the Zeta championship we had to play the no.2 team in conference, a team who had gone undefeated since we beat them in week 1. We worked our asses off for that one and once we won it we we're all very relieved because we knew no matter what happened, we we're Pro bound.

Now with you guys being a lower seed I think the majority of the team felt we would roll you guys, which we didnt. We game planned and did individual tactics and everything but we weren't as hell bent on winning as we were for the Antwerp game I guess. Hope that clears it up some?

I think you need to read my post again... I'm not at all whining about how we could have beat them. I'm just sticking up for my old conference and "calling BS" on their claims that they didn't gameplan.
