While i do tend to disagree with you about the overratedness of Drill Bit, the story of the acquisitions goes just beyond him being added to an already solid team.

Im not saying he isn't good, I know he is. Hes not the best WR on the face of the earth like its made to seem around here. If we played on 100 pass every game we would have 3 people making Drill Bit Taylor looking like a no one (Bates, Jackson, Speedy)

And im not saying they go 100 pass every game, im just merely pointing out that your tactics will dictate just how good certain players are. Thats why I dont think this is some mega move that makes them ridiculously good. They already have a good team, are they gonna sacrifice certain areas to make sure they keep pumping Taylor the ball? Or are they gonna keep running the ball and watch his numbers decline?

That was my point

i do think OTR has been given too little credit as my earlier post eludes at - Tooley...although brash on these boards...is very good at recruiting/buying/trading players, he sees a hole and does his best to fix it

i do think LA deserves the credit they are being given for next seasons performance - they are losing their backup QB (on noez!) and a 4th string LB - gaining some of the more solid player builds ive seen around the game

i still think LA is going into season 4 as it stands as the strongest team, but i wouldnt put it past Tooley to shore up his tactics/faults and shock the world

No one on LA is calling 16-0....no one is claiming DBT is cyberspace's version of Jerry Rice. But what it does give us is another dimension to our offense. Our WRs were pretty good but none with the builds of DBT. The idea (hope?) is that by adding a WR that has the ability to go deep anytime will allow us to open up the offense more. We had our 2 HBs rush for 2750 yds and 31 TDs...it wasn't that difficult to gameplan against us. Fortunately for us we were good enough for that to not be a huge problem except against OKC as our defense kept us in the games long enough for our offense to eventually pound out a win.

No doubt OTR and likely 3 or 4 other teams will be serious contenders for the title next season. And personally I hope everyone focuses on how well kooley is at recruiting and gameplanning. But our main thing was damn...we got spanked twice this year by the champs...so we need to do something to get better. And DBT is one of the pieces that will make us better.

no, but right now, they have been run heavy...now they are really tough to defend with the added balance

Well, if I compare the regular-season-stats of Quentin Lamond and Michael Dauber then there's not so much difference between the 2 QBs (besides of pass-attempts):

Michael Dauber: 270/487(55.4%) 2836 Yrds(5.8) 26TD-14INT-Rating:78.4
Quentin Lamond: 390/663(58.8%) 3969 Yrds(6.0) 28TD-18INT-Rating:78.8

I'm looking forward to have Drill Bit Taylor on the other side of my passes and I'm sure that he is the "dot on the i" of our receiving-corps.

But on the other side you're absolutely right - 3 picks in the conference-championship-game against your team are too much, but two of them came in the last-2-minutes in desperate time, before the last 2 minutes I have only 1 INT in 2 games against OCS, Xavier Richardson has 3 in the two games against us ...

btw: Congrats for the CHAMPIONSHIP !!! You're deserving the title !!!

Nobody is claiming the DBT has some super build that no one knows about. Its not a secret, But it is a solid build and will only get better next season. I am not saying that DBT is the best WR out there but he is one of the top. there are hundreds of builds out there just like him.

I understand that the numbers will decrease moving to a team that is more balanced with the run. Thats fine with me i'm not here to put up crazy stats every season. I want to be apart of an active team that has a solid mix of players and GM's. let me remind you that in season 2 the Bulls had only 3 wins; we took that team from bottom of the barrel to a contender that got waxed by OTR in the regular season to making an upset in the playoffs when we were out matched.

The Bulls not once went 100% pass we actually never went higher than 75% but we never set a fav target WR. the QB chose DBT because he was open 85% of the time, the majority of you that are trashing the move LA made to pick up my players are either jealous that you were not the team that they are going to play for; or your pissed that your going to have to play all that talent in season 4.

But look on the bright side of things you will only have to do it for one season because LA is a lock to move up; not because of my players joining but because they were already kick ass team, DBT is only the icing on the cake.

Good luck to all of you and stop your bitching.

We beat OVR this season 34-7 this season, and just improved both offense and defence, but why do some people say OVR is the favorite?? We only lost to the champs and beat everyone else...

Look at the broken tackles in that game...... I take that loss on my shoulders fully. You guys had something like 11 fumbles in the games before we played, so I had our entire defense set to Hard tackling to try to take care of your apparent fumbling issues. Instead, 0 fumbles, and a shit ton of broken tackles. Your defense was solid in that game, but trust me..... the win had more to do with our tackling settings than it did anything else. If you want to base next season on that game, be my guest.

Personally, I can't wait to see what tooley puts together for Rhine next season. Since there are owners out there like him, if teams are not re-loading talent and getting better every year, they will be left behind. Pretty simple actually. I look forward to the matchup, and hope to see some surpises in the other West teams as well. San Jose, South Otto, Reno and Little Haiti you can tell they are making moves to get better every year.

Geez "Giant Chip On The Shoulders"....... Nobody is ripping your player, or ripping LA. Just saying that it's a bit premature to start polishing your gold trophy, and that there are still a few decent contenders in the league.... despite what you think.

psst. tomorrow I sign a lvl 23 dt, a lvl 23 cb, a lvl 21 hb, and have already signed a lvl 23 wr during the playoffs..... but hey, you'll be moving up next season before a single game is played.

oh. and we get new tactics? what a joke.

Ok, when i said that LA was going to go 16-0, i meant it. i see them as being the best team next year. i do not dispute that OTR will be good, but i just don't think that they will be better, especially with LAs recent additions.

16-0. That's MY prediction, in fact i hope OTR proves me wrong to make it a closer league next year.

The main thing that i want to say here though is this: The monkeys, the Rockstars and OKC have always been WAY better than all the other teams in BBB#!. Don't try to dispute it, its pretty much fact. While yes there was some close games, they won all of them. the only time i can think of this balance being thrown is when OKC lost in the first round. Other than that, those three teams have dominated BBB#1.

But with them out of the picture, who is going to rise to the top? Will there even BE a 16-0 or 15-1 team? Will this league start looking more like the NFL now that all the amazing teams are out of here?

Sure LA, OTR, the Nighthawks, the Warriors (etc.) Sure they are all good teams, but will they dominate like the monkeys did? or OKC or the rockstars?

i don't think so. What do you guys think?
