Grats Alpine, I'm not taking anything away from you guys, but I really believe we got borked in the sim for the second time in two years. It just doesn't make any sense to me, that you guys got more sacks this game than we gave up all season combined (4 times the amount we gave up in our first meeting).

6 sacks by a single player, in a play-off game, is pretty ridiculous IMHO... especially considering he only had 1 the first game we played. It's kind of like last season, when the sim made my FB run up the middle 7 of the first 8 rushing plays, against Memphis.

Thanks!

I don't know if you have noticed, but Dee has a few sacks on his record earlier in the season as well. And he is a completely different player now, than he was in the first game.

I find it a little bit strange that you blame the sim when we have beaten you 30-9 and 22-6 this season.

Scared? No not really. In fact I had forgotten about them. Seriously though the Mustangs I fear more than San Diego. Playing them would be like playing your twin brother since the teams are similar. Who knows what would happen.

I noticed his game log, problem I'm seeing is that, the other games where he had similar stats were against what caliber of teams? Even you have to admit that his numbers seem a bit ridiculous against top competition, regardless of how much he's improved since the first match-up. This was probably his best game of the season and we're a better team than those he racked up big stats against.

I don't mind the losing part, but this is the second time in two straight post seasons, where some pretty unlikely events happened. I have to question the game, because it's the only thing that makes sense to me. From your POV, your DE had a great game... from mine, we got screwed again. I don't think asking for some realism and/or consistency is uncalled for.

Edit: look at the majority of his sacks, our OT is doing some pretty boneheaded things (like double and triple teaming other players and letting Dee run wild).

I think the NFL record for sacks in a game is 7, and if I remember correctly Umenyiora had 6 against the Eagles as late as last season. So it is not totally unrealistic. It is an extremely impressive performance on the boundaries of what should be possible, but you are talking about the unanimous defensive MVP of the league.

For the record, my guy wasn't boosted for any of the regular season games. The only game that's really fair to compare it to is the first game of the playoffs.

This is great news for the Assassins, as statistically, there's no way he should repeat a 6 sack game back to back!

The Eagles weren't a play-off contender and I highly doubt the single game sack record was against a good team (not going to bother looking it up). So I don't consider it realistic against a play-off caliber team, MVP or not. Watch the replays, He gets some help from the sim on a few of his sacks (especially the early ones, which in turn set the tone for the rest of the game).

As for boosting, fair enough, but I'd think we're at least on the same level as New Orleans... I guess I'm just done with the game, getting screwed back to back seasons has made me lose all respect for it. Game-planning issues last season, then this year the sim decides to give an opponent a career game (I will bet that performance will be in this top 5 games in his career, because it was the play-offs). That isn't to say that your build isn't fantastic or that our OT wasn't over-matched... the question is, was he a 6 sack (5 hurry) performance over-matched? I'd say no. This is what I mean by consistency.

You guys lost, Alpine was a better team, it wasn't the sim, good luck next season

Please what? I asked a question, that I feel deserves an answer... if that's what they envision this game to be, I don't want to continue to help support it. You can consider that being a sore loser or whatever you want to tell yourself, but the simple fact is that we all play for different reasons... my reasons are because I enjoy competition. Fair play is a big part of competition IMHO.

Like I said before, winning and losing are unimportant, I just want things to be somewhat fair. Whatever though, I'm not going to argue it any more... there's no point, you see the world the way you do and I see it the way I do. If you felt that I was trying to insulting your team, that wasn't the case. I just want to understand how a player dominates a play-off team, like they were one of the worst teams in the league, if you cannot understand my point, that's unfortunate. I think it comes down to the sim, whether it's intended to be that way or not is what I wanted to know.

Likewise, my personal opinions on this matter have nothing to do with the Bruins. I'm speaking for myself, not the team.

It's a beta game broskie, calm down. Getting all worked up over an internet game that barely just started, that's a little nerdy. I can imagine you getting mad over losing at pinball and blaming the floorboards for being crooked. Sore loserrrrr.
