I'd flip that prediction if I were you. Unless I'm remembering very wrong, DDT boosted after last game, which means not only are they higher level than us now, but we don't have any "current" game film of them at their current level.

Asheme, Drazz, and I have all gone through scouting and tried to come up with the best gameplan possible (unlike last year, where we played them in a completely meaningless game, this one counts, so we're really trying), but I don't really think we're going to pull this one out.

Actually they boosted before our game and we only lost 25-23. I think you'll be fine. Still going with the Pushovers

Because it was a fluke game last season.

Plus you can't just lump the rest of the east's teams on one game where 15 of the east teams didn't compete in. Clearly the east has better teams in the top 6 then the west does. Sorry to break that too you, but that is just how it is.

Now if Tim Harper was in the Western Conference, things may be a bit different.

The West will win the overall matchup, because it's a better conference top to bottom.

The interesting thing is, unlike last year, all of the top teams are playing each other, so we'll be able to see for ourselves with GSA vs. K-Zoo, DDT vs. Philly, and SAS vs. Chicago.

For those of you who think the Western Conference is better, ask yourself if you would transfer your team over to the East....would you?

Well, some of the top teams are playing each other. But there are only four matchups of top 8 teams...

W1 vs E5
W2 vs E13
W3 vs E10
W4 vs E2
W5 vs E1
W6 vs E3

W7 vs E16
W8 vs E15
W14 vs E4
W11 vs E6

It'd be cool if we had a flex schedule, where in the last game of every season you faced the team directly across from you. W1 vs E1, W2 vs E2, etc.

i wouldn't mind.

that said, i think it's difficult to compare teams in the two conferences. it really seems like there is more depth in the west and more creampuffs in the east. however, if the top of the east is really that much better than the top of the west, it could be that the initial perception isn't the case.

Might have been a fluke but the bottom line is this 1 Championship East and 1 Championship West. All other things don't merit my consideration. You win another Championship then you have bragging rights but for now it's 1-1

Here are the records of the bottom four combined teams for each conference.

West = 8-52
East = 10-50

Interesting. Your conference is supposedly better top to bottom, yet your bottom 4 teams have a worse combined record then ours.

Thats what happens when bad teams play bad teams.

tim, arguments can be made in either direction.
speaking of which, what are the records of the teams fighting for that 8th seed in the east?

never mind. i know the answer.

That is what happens when the Western Conference isn't more "balanced" like they say it is.

High five to Okole for pointing out the obvious.

You guys like to talk about how balanced the West is, yet you still have one more team with 10+ wins then we do. Then begin to berate us for being top heavy.

Quit trying to make your league sound better then it is, when the standing say otherwise.

I don't think anyone has berated you and we can go back and forth. If my team had been in the East I may have won 2 to 3 more games just sayin.
