I was just saying that you can't tell what a QB two years into his career is going to turn out to be, no where in the post did I say he was going to be the next John Elway.

I am not going to pass judgement on him just yet. I agree he isn't what I would want as QB for my team. That said, he made the playoffs in his second season, where it took Joe Montana 4 seasons, on what could quite possibly be considered one of the greatest teams in the history of the NFL (TN isn't even the best in their division), and his stats these first two years are very comparable to what is most likely the greatest QB in NFL history (John Elway). TN hurt themselves financially trying to buy a Superbowl. They are just now recovering from that debacle. Once they have an opportunity to surround Vince with some talent, he will do fine. I don't believe he will ever be a Hall of Fame QB, but he isn't ever going to cost TN a Superbowl.

If you consider "making the playoffs" getting in because a team trots out grocery baggers against you because they've locked up the No. 2 seed, sure... He "made the playoffs". Too bad he blew there.

The fact that you're comparing him to John Elway just shows how dumb you are. Seriously? John Elway got better his 2nd season statistically, Vince Young got worse. He threw NINE TOUCHDOWNS. NINE. I think I could throw 9 TD's in 15 games.

I have yet to see a 1 win team make the playoffs. (and you called me dumb)

I was comparing both players' stats their first two seasons. I in no way think Vince Young is going to be as good as John Elway. There is no one in the league that I believe will be as good as John Elway, but you don't have to be the best ever to be considered a good QB. Vince young did drop off a bit in his second season, which doesn't bode well for the TN faithful, but he got a new OC this offseason, that is a better fit for his style of football than his old OC. I think this will help him a bit.

You are comparing yourself (the fat guy in your chair filling up the poop sock in your floor) to a Multi-million dollar athlete, who is the dumb one again?

Who said anything about a 1 win team? Yes, I understand Tennessee had to win more than 1 game however, Tennessee won games despite Vince Young, not because of him. The Vince Young just wins garbage has been exposed for what it is; garbage.

You have to be not God awful before you can be called good. Young is still in the awful range. It doesn't matter what OC Vince Young has. He doesn't have the tools to be an effective QB in the NFL.

Maybe the one who doesn't see obvious hyperbole.

Vick was absolutely sensational to watch. Very exciting with all the talent and potential in the world. He suffered from being a fucking idiot. On top of that he made some of the most retarded decisions a person in his position could ever make. Theoretically, if Vick had stayed focused on his career and his day to day training and conditioning then who knows where he'd be right now. Certainly not worrying about Bubba!

Fine Vince Young sucks, you win (I really don't like Vince Young, and can't believe I have wasted this much time arguing in his favor)...

...but I have to disagree that what you said was an obvious hyperbole. Had you said, "I would give my left nut to have Vince as my QB", that would be an obvious hyperbole. I don't know that making a comparison about yourself in an argument over a "dumb" comparison is really considered a hyperbole.

FYI..
I don't think your dumb, I was just frustrated you would call me dumb after a fair comparison.

i can sorta agree... i don't think he had all the talent to be a great qb. he got by on being a physical freak... greatest legs ever for a qb. cannon arm. just not much by way of vision or decision making..... on AND off the field.... i loved it because he's a lefty and was fun to watch early on... but he was declining on the field as far as his throws go....
