A main reason I spent as much as I have over the last 8 months on the game is it looked like there was a way past the issues folks were having. If that's not the case, and the only way to have success in a major facet of this game, is to hack an exploit then it should at a minimum be dealt with by the developer.
Honestly, if Bort wanted to fix the pass game, hitting the FIRST interception roll (the dive under the play one), with a tapering/diminishing effect from catching, would probably do the trick. That would make investing in jump / catch necessary, so you get the 2nd shot Int attempt (which also tends to be NOT run back for defensive TDs at an insane rate.)
Adjusting that first roll, and leaving the "I've deflected the ball, now I get another chance for the Int" one alone, would make ALG / first cap only jump, 80+ catching pick freaks, kind of garbage.
And ... I really kind of doubt, that the people running tests on the server back in the day when that was active ... ever truly built 80 catching DBs, to test out the extreme end of builds. They just tried to approximate what was 'meta' then. (At least the ones with the tests made public in that forum) I don't think they ever anticipated how that would go.
And yeah, I share your pain.
Watching passes veer ~30 degrees off to the side, from the player it SAYS it's targeting, on a pass that isn't "bad pass" in the play-by-play, is absolutely infuriating.
Looks like something out of the old NCAA football when the sim would "roll an Int" then try to make the play match up, and you'd watch an OLB jump like 10 feet in the air for the pick. Test them players for grav boots!

Anyways, I'd love to see something like that, to balance out the current pass game imbalance. Maybe even make people consider old school deflect builds again, if they can't just PICK EVERYTHING OFF. But I think Bort is done making changes, and has been for some time.
