I thought as much myself, TJ and reddog. Thanks.

I agree. That's why I keep asking myself if there's a soft spot in regard to catching "medium" passes where there's corners and safeties in front of the receiver. WRs and TEs won't win the "get open" equation often enough--the only possibility is a "fast" RB that can break tackles once they catch the ball.

This one worked p good and was fun to watch on Burnside in WL. Built to catch screen passes on outside then break tackles. Not much agility so, didn't get great separation on other routes. http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4481050

Higher jumping might have helped with breaking (diving) tackles?

That's the impetus behind the increase in the use of "Hurdle".

Is it working? Would it be a better investment than Scat Back extra SA?

If you want to build a dot that only catches screens, you can skip Scat Back. If your dot will run deeper routes, you want to have Scat Back. It is like Run Route and Sticky Hands in one SA.

It's like half of run route and a quarter of sticky hands in one SA.

I usually skip SB in favor of RR, QC, fake stuff and maybe SH. For a pure receiver with no Juke I will absolutely take 10 SB and RR though.

While we're here, what is the consensus on Sticky Hands? Is it merely a way to hang on to more catches (drop-reduction SA), or does it expand the catching radius so that a receiver has a chance to catch balls that may not have been pulled in without it?

I always thought of it like a Catch % thing with a Clutch VA bonus. Like if the ball makes it into the existing radius, there's a small bonus to the catch roll, if it happens in a Clutch situation then there's another small bonus added on.

Agree. As for hanging on to more catches, I do not think it helps in any way against KL's... so you might 'catch' more passes but also suffer more KL's if you don't have something else to help against that (like high Carrying or VA's like Mr. Reliable.)

Or more strength?

Strength definately helps. I consider the VAs "Mr Reliable" and "Possession Receiver" to be standard equipment for any volume-receiver.

Possession Receiver only works for WR/TE, if we are still talking about HBs. Always surprised each offseason to find a bunch of backs with it.
