No, just stupid people are arguing with the suggestion. Anyone that thinks charging full price for anything in this game now is either trolling or just wants this game to hurry up and shut down.
400 is less than $4 a month. If you can't afford that, get off of GLB.
Also, scat HBs and safeties are harder to find linemen

It really isn't that expensive to own a team, but no one is changing anything around here

Obviously you have no concept of value.
Could I afford to own a team in 2008? yes
Can I afford to own a team in 2015? yes
Was this game thriving and did it have a healthy amount of activity in 2008? yes
Is this game thriving now and does winning anything mean as much as it did in the past? lolno

the argument is really that teams were too cheap when there was a waiting list.. it doesnt matter how cheap teams are if there are now not enough players left to fill them.

Absolutely 110% correct. More people would buy teams and run them if there was enough players to fill those teams.

But couldn't you infer that if teams are cheaper and people save flex that they spend that extra flex on creating players (for their teams probably) thus putting more dots into the game?

Even if your team was free you could make a guard. Congratulations. 1/55 dots taken care of.
Price of teams isn't the problem. Paying $90 for a HB that plays CPUs for over a year is the problem.
