How about opening it up for one "test" season in World League only?
After all those 32 are the only ones that matter anyway...

I'd say why stop at the DPC tbh. Allow a full OPC and let people go nuts. I know its more work than we can imagine being spent on this game but I have to imagine Bort has some sort of tool he made for creating & adding offensive plays himself. Really just needs to borrow the implementation code from the DPC tool and tweak it for use in the OAI, etc.

And who cares if there are teams that have money plays? Thats the point of football at the end of the day anyway. Find plays & personnel advantages that other teams cannot stop without selling out. To EE's point about exploit blitzes....they wouldnt be exploits if OCs could make their own plays.

Just dreamin....

I'd probably get suckered into making another DAI. The DPC never should have been gimped in the first place. It's not like defense was dominating back then.

Opc would be fun for all of 3 seconds. Too many exploity routes that would just force a dc into full cover 2/3.

Not sure if you are srs but regardless that is not possible, not without more effort from Bort.

This would certainly instantly fix the stale sim

A lot of those routes take time to develop though. You might not have that time if there was an exploity LB blitz on its way.

Maybe a limited OPC

Like WR movements on pass plays, so that defenders set to cover man would still slide with them (but any defenders set to cover man w/out move would still stay where placed)

Possibly change the highlighted primary receiver...but I don't think that even matters since they added custom progressions.

O-line shifts, but limit them like the gimped DPC is.

Would love to have DPC opened back up a bit. More DB free movement (as in all of them anywhere) would be good for me, more freedom on blitzing LB starting positions would be nice.

I don't think any of that would bring in a large enough amount of new agents to this game though. I honestly believe the biggest hope for GLB1 is for The Duece to attract more new users and some of them to eventually come to GLB1 and realize this is the better game

You vastly underestimate the ease of which to counter that.

oline shifts and/or oline specific blocking were things Bort just wasn't gonna do.

I think the DPC should be un nerfed and add O line shifts as a balance.

And while this is certainly a better game than GLB2, it can always be improved. Even if only in our dreams

I fully understand why he didn't want users to have control over O-line specific blocking, not sure why slight shifts like strong/weak/bunched would be a problem for him as long as they still had same blocking scheme/assignments set.

Edit to clarify my thought: I am thinking on pass plays only

Also I am pretty sure opening back up the unlimited DPC is also something Bort was not gonna do...so yea
