I think catch got fired for telling them how bad glb2 was and they didn't like it lol

whoever signed off on glb2 should lose their job, even if that someone was bort.

it truly is horrendous and I did actually play it for 2 seasons.

the only good thing about it was the pickup games, which I wish they would implement in glb "classic"

So, they're re-designing GLB2? How so?

(If they're adding a dot option to speed up the replays, I might -- MIGHT -- give GLB2 another look.)

pabst made a script for that first week or 2 of GLB2 fwiw

I'm aware of this. However, that script does nothing to improve the loading speed of the replays. It simply replaces the bots with dots.

On a brand new top-of-the-line computer, loading speed is irrelevant. However, lots of people don't have brand new top-of-the-line computers (hi!), and I'm not going through the hassle and expense of getting a new computer just for Bort's convenience. If he wants to make GLB2 so it can only be realistically played on brand new top-of-the-line computers, hey, that's his deal, but he needs to understand that he is needlessly restricting the size of his customer base by doing so.

As long as Bort refuses to make a faster-loading replay option, I won't be able to play GLB2. It's that simple.

My two year old phone is apparently a "brand new top-of-the-line computer".

The only thing that takes time to load for me, is the league page on GLB Classic.

I'm running all updated software, and use an AMD 8350 CPU - OC'd to 4.6 Ghz, EVGA GTX 770 GPU, and 16 MB of Corsair 1600 RAM - OC'd to 1800...but it still takes like 5 seconds to load.

GLB2 replays takes about 2 seconds.

The age of your phone changes nothing about my situation... or the situation of anyone else who can't load your GLB2 replays.

Look, you've made a business decision: you've decided to make a game that I can't play. That's fine... you're allowed to do that. And I'm allowed to voice my frustration with your decision.

Good for you. But it also changes nothing about my situation.

Contact your internet provider for a better plan. Maybe that 2G connection might have something to do with it.

I was pretty much on the fence about 2.0 until I saw how some tried to shit all over the real GLB to advance 2.0. I won't go into specifics since my post will just be deleted.

I use and older Wal-Mart laptop and, like cdog, and older phone. Works great for me.

And tbh I found glb2 replays run better on my laptop than newish desktop.

Uhhh, wrong. When GLB2 guys want more options in their ai, we tell them to come here. Nothing wrong with classic glb except the people that play it.
