~100 strength and ~100 carrying seems enough for me. Anymore doesn't seem to bring extra broken tackles, and my PHB with 141 speed already has jumping to 52 and will end with jumping past 64.
I'll also have Power Through, Surge, and LTS at 10+ with some Quick Cut as well to help his agility.
What do u use the points on if not for speed?
Higher carrying definitely.

My Elusive back had plenty of strength and carrying and 74.5 jumping along with bt% AEQ.
The SA only works in specific situations and the addition of hurdle to the build did nothing to improve performance. Taking jumping up to 74 had a huge impact on broken diving tackles, but I saw nothing from the actual hurdle SA.
So, I refuse to include it on any build after that HB. Some of u may post replays where it fire, but I contend that the bonus from Hurdle is small and your dot would've broken the tackle anyways.
The only thing that can sway me will be once Aasahi's two nearly identical PHB's on the same team have had a few seasons in plateau. If they can show a marked difference in performance I will re-consider my initial position, but until then I refuse to touch the SA again.
Well I can do one more investigation again, and this time it's against all WL team.

137 SPD, 103 STR, 100 CAR (w/VA) and 89 AGL did not seem overly impressive on my PHB. I think 140 is the breaking point from my observations even as small as the diff is here. Also LOL at hurdle sucking when your previous HB was a joke of an excuse as to its effectiveness, and no u did NOT have enough STR/CAR contrary to your own false beliefs. That dot had nowhere near enough of a BT score to make use of any BT SA let alone a secondary one. The only thing u did was show JMP alone was not not enough to make it work. And even then its pretty obvious that as a bonus to PT (which is the dominating BT SA of the game) u get a bonus, that alone is enough to warrent using it. Lastly any competent builder can fit hurdle and soft JMP into a power build so unless u are feeding SP's into fodder like LTS or StiffArm u get the SA.

For a dot that was created in S14 it was actually pretty decent. It wasn't playing against current builds, it was also playing against other dots that were built in S14.

I dunno...lately I think when it comes to the carrying vs. strength debate, if you are going to add a fake element to your power guy carrying should be higher, if not, strength higher.
Granted both should be at the 100+ and 90+ range so it is really just kinda playing with a couple points that probably doesn't make any sort of huge impact either way.
edit: tbh with how much up the middle running you do you would probably benefit more from strength than carrying.

Personally I would rather go with Juke over Spin on my HB but regardless you can do both spin and hurdle very easily. There are some crazy differences between these 2 backs though from game to game

Same speed/agility.
Mitchell has a little more strength, confidence, and jumping but no top SA's. Also 2% more Break tackle.
Beav has more carrying, vision, 10 in Juke, and 22.5% Fake Chance.
