Agreed. Have suggested before to incorporate the VPB into GLB1. My idea, is to let people insta build but get off the ride at any 40 day increment they want. If they want to take the dot to day 80 or 120 let them and the VPB calcs the flex you must pay. If they want to take it to level 73, day 280, day 48, let them and let them pay.

You'd end up making the insta crowd happy. The people that enjoy the slower 7 season approach would still have that option. The result would be lesser number of lower tier leagues. But those leagues would allow newbies to get experience building. The slow build crowd would develop rivalries in the now condensed leagues and slow built dots and teams would have more chances for trophies and championships. If you built and insta dot you'd be basically giving up a shot at the HOF rankings. So customers would have a choice. From a Bort standpoint, you'd be giving your customers something they want (horrible business idea - I know) and you'd actually have people volunteering to burn their flex more quickly and being happy about it instead of them complaining about the cost of GLB1 vs GLB2.

IDK, I honestly hope it turns out to be really good due to the state of GLB Classic. I'm just not impressed by the dot thing at first sight. Maybe it will get a lot better at higher lvls. In the meantime I will enjoy this version even in its decline.

I had to cut two players to pay for my boosts on GLB2.

The new game is designed with people in mind who enjoy dotbuilding? What fucking planet do u admins live on. First off, nobody and I mean nobody on the classic GLB version enjoys waiting a year for a dot to mature, I can't even imagine anybody watching a dot before lvl 70+. So what is the solution? Make a game where dotbuilding is horrible and even more boring. I am not going to declare GLB2.0 horrible as a whole until I can see it in its full form but atm their is no part about the dot making process that shows any remote form of enjoyment. Current GLB1 model after 70% return:
300 flex: 2700 cost from boosts
200 flex: 1800 cost from boosts
100 flex: 900 cost from boosts

300 flex: 225 cost per season
200 flex: 150 cost per season
100 flex: 75 cost per season

Instant level 73 players, can boost to 79, no flex returned:
300 flex: 1800 cost from boosts
200 flex: 1200 cost from boosts
100 flex: 600 cost from boosts

300 flex: 360 cost per season
200 flex: 240 cost per season
100 flex: 120 cost per season

So it satisfies everyone. Veterans can instantly get to plateau but technically you burn through the flex faster, and that's without even considering that you're getting less seasons for your custom equipment costs.

Lol no, most kiddos that don't care for glb 1 will bail. The die hards will stay while checking out glb 2 with limited interest.

I'll build on both initially but I just don't think I'll enjoy the new game.

Yeah, there's GOT to be an angle where the customers get this option and the developers rake in some dough at the same time. Its win/win--I can't imagine why this isn't something being worked on as we speak.

maybe im not looking big picture ... but insta 79s would make GLB1 even more of a coordinator game than it already is. which is clearly what they wanted to get away from in GLB2

GLB1 is already a coordinator's game.

Run the insta 79's through a player maker, it would probably cause people to just randomly create dots.

And the appeal of insta 79s is not having to wait a calendar year to see if something different might work. Right now, when someone says "What if a WR had ____", they have to wait a year to know if it'll work. Most of those "insta dots" end up getting retired long before plateau because the creator lost interest in the experiment.

For 2 weeks you went from rookie to pro and never really faced anyone trying to defeat you. So I mean...I dunno...
