This.

People are saying that GLB2 is more of a players' game, whilst GLB Classic is more of a co-ordinator's game, but GLB1 seems like it has more complicated player building, and more regular things to do (training, more tactical choices, VP, EQ upgrades). A massive issue for a lot of new people on GLB1 was that there simply wasn't much to do as a player if you didn't co-ordinate. GLB2 seems worse in that respect, which is weird.

I created a player on GLB2, and watched him play his first pick up game for about 2 minutes, and logged off. I likely will not log back in. I'll be staying here. If this dies...I'm gone.

So a pick up game when your player is essentially level one is the determining factor on whether or not you play the game?

You must not make a lot of good life choices

Training is automatic on GLB, the rest happen once or twice a season.

Players in GLB2 get SP almost every day.

which basically substitutes for training right. so it just makes it more of a pain in the ass because you have to log in every day to make sure your player keeps up rather than being able to set him on cruise control if you can't make it on every day.

makes sense

I haven't decided yet because I haven't put enough time into glb2 yet. A couple of things noticed so far. I prefer creating plays in glb1 is what I enjoy a lot. Also, since none of my 3 computers show the play by play so well I will stick with glb1

This is a coordinator's game, GLB2 is more of a player's game. As mentioned, I think they are different enough to co-exist. Personally, I can't see myself getting involved with GLB2 the way I have been here, but I have made a bot and will play over there until it is boring.

this is the problem though. its more fun for players on glb but more fun for coordinators on glb1. without players, coordinators are useless so glb1 will die soon.

Like i've said for a long time THIS game should have been a "buy your own team of players to create". Because it's a coordinators game and not a players game. There will always be more people who just want to create and watch players then there will ever be people who want to coordinate imo.

I clicked a replay for glb2 and watched for 30 odd seconds and nobody moved
My phone plays replays here fine

Building players is the best thing about GLB1. You just suck at it.

It takes about 5-10 minutes to load a replay.

It gave me plenty of time to think about how stupid it looks and how great we thought it was 25 years ago

You can log on and spend your points whenever you want though, you don't fall behind and ruin your player because you forgot to turn off training at 96% or something dumb.

So DB why does it take forever to load a replay?

Depends on what you mean as suck ? But if you say so almighty one. People that know how bad this game is are the ones not posting about how much they're gonna miss it. Same people every thread , same thoughts. It's over , move on.

It's like when a woman leaves you , you're sad for awhile and hope like hell you don't see her in the mall with another guy but if you do you just deal with it.

This game for you guys is about a team of your own players or players you can run that other people are building for you , that's fine but it just doesn't fly with an audience this large(The Internet). So far 2.0 looks cartoonish , but a little easier to navigate , still waiting to see a game. But whatever happens , stay or go i've at least tried it.
