I know you can minimize it, but I would prefer an option in the account settings where you could turn it off entirely.

I believe it bridges functionality between both games so I doubt a disable option ever comes

I guess I don't see the problem with it minimized? Granted I do 90% of my glb on iPad and the chat doesn't work there so maybe I m not getting the true impact of the change

I don't even really notice it any more. Also I do kinda like the quick chat ability sometimes and to know if they are online to do so.
