but haven't the guys that made the league forums so entertaining for the most part left or been killed off already by what they deemed as overmodding.

I looked in the WL forum today and the only thread that had a post in it was the good game thread.
The pro league forums are dead pretty much. The NAPL forum has lulzy CFB thread in it, but thats about it.

Eh most of them were more bored of the game itself than killed off by league forum modding. The pro leagues don't have conversation because there isn't really a whole lot to say between the 0 cares a lot of people have.

I've always been curious as to why GLB doesn't have a filter for posts? I've played on many online poker places where, if you type something that is verboten, then it simply won't let you post it. Even in foreign languages. The rules (should one really desire to spend hours of their lives committing ALL of them to memory... or copying every single one to have available each time you post) are sequestered away somewhere else where one would need AND want to go read. Most derps don't even read the fine print on the bottle labels or the instructions manuals included with every needed assembly thing they ever get. And even KNOWING the rules doesn't mean you still won't make mistakes just because some of them are pretty ambiguous. So... is it just a desire to keep things more "open"... or is it just a matter of server space... or is it just too much hassle that nobody cares? Because I would think it's much better not to throw out your paying customers (as much as possible) than to have the animosity that seems to get bred here everytime someone gets banned.

There will be a cursing filter fwiw. And an ignore feature. So between those 2 things it should be better for most users.

League forums are suppose to have a little trash talk. If everyone is "classy", it gets boring quick. The same guys who get butthurt and hit the report button for posts that hurt their feelings concerning their team, those are the same guys who get more hyped about that next matchup. I've never understood the people who try to be classy but then run straight to the report button with hopes of the trash talking agent being punished. Always seemed cowardly to me, and far from"classy".

I'm pretty sure GLB wants there to be rivalries to some degree, which means hurt feelings sometimes. It's good for business. League forums should always be one of the least policed forums in the game.

I have to agree. I always loved trash talk in the forums.
