Maybe too much explanation, Phil. I kinda got lost in it all. Still, I've had plenty of time to consider adding stats to the game. It boils down to 2 categories:
#1, Stats which are useful to teams (coaches and the like) and,
#2, Stats which are simply nice to have available for viewing.
I've long wished for nothing more than an ability for the USERS to choose which stats are listed for teams and for individual dots. This ability would allow customization that not only would enhance the interface between user and game... but would also allow coaches to decide which stats are important for THEM to keep track of for their own purposes. Static stats, such as we have now, really suck. I've built (and currently own) several STOP players whose stats do NOT even come CLOSE to reflecting what they do on the field. Sure, I can go to the team stat page and compile my own stats from there... but should I really HAVE to? As for the OP's suggestion, I'm personally a -1 because that particular stat has no appeal to me. But I can see where it might appeal to others. So, since ALL stats are compiled during the games played, why not let us user choose which are important to us and select them for our viewing pleasure rather than this constant creation of threads asking for stats and stats and stats and stats. Now THAT suggestion, I am WAY +1 for.
