Discuss how no one who volunteered to test the game was told that they would thereafter not be able to play the game. Discuss how there is no obligation on the testers to come back to GLB1 and share anything.

I didn't say we wouldn't know more on day 1. What I did say was:

anyone who has played GLB 1 will be just as good (with a little experimentation and work) as the testers by playoffs.

So... because YOU have played GLB1, does that mean that you should also take a season off to let people who have never played GLB1 or 2 get a head start? Seems like a good reward for loyal customers.

Blow it off TT , not worth it man. Tester always get grief and yes they always have a head start but in the end we too can catch up. Some will have an early advantage if they are taking mental or written notes. It is what it is. Others will use it to tell others what to do and be in charge of their money (players built). I'd rather just learn the hard way lol.

Yeah man don't take any of this crap personal. Keep doing what you are doing with testing and posting info. Most of the user base really appreciates it.

The advantage gained is only temporary.

There's not that much advantage to be gained from it tbh.

After selecting your starting attributes and picking 3 traits, which are all pretty intuitive(there's nothing you can do to make a build more efficient beyond this stage); then you just hit the + button and make your skills go up as you gain SP's, if you screw up you wait to see a productive open build, respec your dot and copy it. There's no build process, or how did they do that, it's just pure skill point distribution.

Being in the GLB1 Alpha would have been a pretty big advantage, not so much for GLB2.

It's still in early Alpha though so I wouldn't be shocked if they did spice up the build process some.

So your build plan consists of I will have x many points.. I want sprint to be 80, tackle to be 70 etc.. and you can build them to those levels in whichever order u desire?

The only thing not known is how high of stamina do u need for a roster of 43. And I guess learning about the new attributes and what they do.. Anyone try a dual kicker/punter yet?

Maybe a superstar would be able to do both with the xtra SPs

They don't share the same skills. For instance, only the Kicker has the 'Kick-off Power' skill, only the Punter has the 'Punt Hands' skill.

I've been doubling my speedster returner as a speedster WR. Mostly a decoy anyway, because once I've lured bots far enough down the field, I just hope for the tuck and run (and no blitz!).

You need a lot more stamina(conditioning) than GLB seems to, and there are skills like toughness that mitigate stamina loss.

LOL there are so many build options... I don't think anyone is gonna come close to knowing how to make a perfect dot in the 1-2 VERY fast seasons that we are teseting in..

The speed is turned up so fast that I have not even started to play the Deep spreadsheet games yet.. lol

and Loads of things are getting changed and tweaked every day...

we had 2 days to fill a team before the season started.. so nobody had time to sift through all the combos that could be made.. Hell I was sorting through how the off and def worked... lol

will we have an advantage... well compared to someone that ask a shit ton of questions and is paying attention to all the stuff the Alpha testers are posted up.. not much of one...

will we have an advantage over the people that spend more time bitching then reading and learning... ya maybe a bit...

in the end it's going to come down to having a team plan... and that dots are built to fit a plan. (whatever that plan will be) No more teams that can do everything.. figure out what kind of team you want to be... build to make it work.. Then come the cords

I think DCS will have to work more... This is why I say this.. Right nows the top dcs have there Def plans all ready to roll.. (I know it took seasons to get them where they are) but once thats done... tag and mild adjustments..

DCS are going to need to pay attention to each team they play against I think.. I think scouting is going to be a huge factor,,, game plans are not as hard to setup as a full DEF AI,,, but they will take some time...

OCs will work about the same.. more scouting maybe... (I still scout tough games so in my case about the same)
The Depth charts will take longer and may be changed a bit more.. but selectiong % adnd plays seem pretty quick....

If there is any advantage it may be for Cords.. because they already kind of get how it all works...

BUT 100% more people will be able to work as a cord.. I still think top cords will be top cords... but I think with this system there will be more of them...

and just when you got that down.. Superstars will start rolling out... word is they want them to be rare., but the truth is anyone can make them.. you simply have to earn the right to make one ... so who knows we may see more then are expected...

There is no advantage to use getting a look at superstars.. they are pretty much dots with a boost... they get made the same way,, they just get extra points... by the time they roll out... anyone that can make one will be able to do so because they made enough dots of that type .. so they should have a decent understanding by then

The one advantage the Alpha testers have is that we can help talk out some of the things we like... Love... Hate... without all the drama.. Bort is buried... it's not like we have him in chats all day.. he pops on grabs a list of bugs.. post up what he fixed and goes back to work on the next batch.. The other Admins and many of the mods are rolling in and out.. but i think it's been very productive..... I like that in 90% of the games structure they are not budging much... yup they listen.. and they have made adjustments based on what we are all seeing... but they are not ging to bend to the user base 100% this time..

They have a plan.. they are staying with it... I respect that...

I have to tell you the game is growing on me... I HATED the lack of Custom slots... I hated the 43 man teams.... I still hate the lack of custom slots lol... I was worried that as someone that lives to play Cord I'd get bored,,, I'm not bored... Oh I feel limited a bit... BUT once you get pas that and start to focus on how to win and not whats missing.. the game is a blast...

It's not GLB Classic..... it's new .... it's different.. it's fun... it makes you want to work.. it makes you want to make 100 dots.. and beat romos 8-0 team.... http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/496

I started off gettng my ass kicked... but the joy of this game is that I can react.. build for NOW not later.. and still be good down the road...

anyway the first question was.. are the alpha testers at an advantage... thats up to you guys.. I don't know many of the Alpha crews that have refused to answer questions...

The admin and the mods have as well.. stop bitching and start asking ... get to know what your bitching about.. you 100% have to play this game and put GLB 1 aside when you do.. hang up the blinders.. and your going to like this game

hell there is a whole forum about it some place...

My glb classic teams.. they are may be suffering a bit right now... and I put GTA 5 on hold... ... lol... thats the only real disadvantage lol

Discuss. That was all part of the deal when you signed up to be a tester.
Of course you have an advantage.
