It can go either way, but frankly once RGIII is thrown into the mix no longer can II take the title of 'Jr'

Good candidate. But there's a difference between a "scrambling Qb" and a "running QB". I'd put Kapernik, RG trey, and some of the newer QB's in the "running QB" pile. (yeah... Vick too). But Cunningham, Elway, Montana... even guys like Kenny Stabler and Terry Bradshaw... were more of the "scrambler" variety. They usually only ran when they had to... not as a part of the overall running game (with an occasional bootleg thrown in now and then).

As for the OP's question, I think the answer is simple. If you COULD build a running QB that could also throw good enough to be highly functional in BOTH categories... why would ANYONE build anything but those kind of QB's ever? Throw out the Deep passer and the Pocket passer... you just made them worthless. So GLB wants you to choose one OR the other OR to have both on the team and use them BOTH for what they're made for... rather than have only one type of QB used by the masses.

That said, a good OC can make a decent running QB functional in the passing game... but never good enough to NOT need a "normal" style QB... at least not good enough to win everything with only the running QB type. IMO.

In order to properly use the suffixes I, II, III, Jr. and Sr. you just have to understand what they mean. If a son and a father have the same name 'Jr.' is used to refer to the son and 'Sr.' is used to refer to the father. If a name is passed down through a family, the grandfather would use the 'I' which stands for the first, the father would use the 'ii' which stands for the second and the son would use 'iii' which stands for the third.

So RG1 (Grandfather), RG II (Father) RG III (Future Hall of Famer)
