There is a really strong link between Syria and terrorism... Syria is in a civil war with a very large faction of terrorists called Al Nusra.

And here I though that Obama was trying to convicne people for the past few weeks that to prevent terrorism it was necessary to intervene in Syria... my bad.

not from what I've seen. what he has been doing is saying that there needs to be consequences specifically for them using chemical weapons, which the international community is quite agains.

The U.S. has the largest cache of chemical weapons out of the four countries that have any at all.
We also used them in WW2, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

oh, I'm not saying that we're not being hypocritical, as we always are, I'm just saying that is what I have seen is the argument for action against them

Pretty sure using sarin gas on civilians in order to evoke a fear-based strike by a world superpower counts as terrorism.

The last I checked, white phosphorous isn't considered a chemical weapon anymore than smokeless powder is.

Yeah, claims that the U.S. used chemical weapons are bullshit. Unfortunately, claims that the U.S. helped Saddam target Iranian forces with chemical weapons are probably true.
