I like the game a day idea. I can handle it, but I'm better than most of you.

Yea, been actually thinking this, but meh.... probably another NGTH, so didn't bother wasting keystrokes.

I say increase the season by two games, cut out two preseason games, wait, what were we talking about?

Serious thread.

Player interest seems to decidedly wan as teams enter the mid to late regular season as teams clearly drop from contention and others lock in playoff appearances.

Would it make sense to fire off the regular season more quickly so that this long dry spell of player ambivalence is reduced or avoided?

You could do it as easily as making regular season games fire every day rather than every other day.

Or you could even amp it up and make regular season games fire TWICE a day.

That way the playoffs are only 10 to 18 days after season start.

Surely the most jaded of us can maintain a level of interest that long?

this is your attention span we are talking about , right ? ..... you want to shorten the timeline to match your needs ......

otherwise .... I don't really have an "off" day ...... and there are very important things we do on that so-called "off" day and that is improve our team and take care of details with LIFE , GLB and ETC .... .... ....

get them done

I deal with life issues first, regardless if my teams on glb are playing a game or not.

I like it the way it is. I coordinate multiple teams so every other day is perfect for my schedule, and after the playoffs are over, I log off and unwind.

Maybe try some Ritalin for your short attention span?

Let me blow your minds here, User controlled game sims, load the schedule, give each owner a 24 hour window to sim the game, lets the one not ready use all the clock or lets them both go early. Then they could move to the next game and have the chance to sim it early also, the only downfall to that is researching other teams and planning games, but it's all screens anyhow and defense isn't really a plan it's build them right hope for best.

You can get your wife pregnant, have her drop child, go through post-partum recovery and get her pregnant again and still not have your 1st GLB player built to plateau. The process is too damn long - it's just a game.

Not me. obviously I am in here posting.

Its the players who vanish that concern me.

Not only because it makes the game dull for me, but some percentage of the players doing that are just not coming back. And player retention problems is an issue we should all care about.

But as noted above even a small change here means a total build-training rewrite and thats unrealistic.

Funny how people in most of the minor leagues have more cares than Pro and WL. Forums down there are always active.

A good day of forum activity in the World League forum that occurs once every three seasons is worth more than 3 seasons worth of good posting in the minor leagues.

Games every day would only be bad for coordinators. Given that only a small percentage of GLB coordinates, it might be a good idea.

it would be nice if GLB had perhaps three cycles for leagues--games every day, games every two days, and games every three (or more) days. granted, dots from one wouldn't ever be able to play in the others, but seems like other games manage just fine having completely separate /distinct "universes" or "realities" on different servers. the current user base may not justify it, but shifting to such a paradigm might expand the user base, too.
