I think dsog nailed it (feel free to log into my team and duplicate his findings)--"The trade offer page is not keeping up with the aging players". The trade function will NOT let me attempt to ACQUIRE any dot who is older than day 40 (oddly enough, it will SOMETIMES let me OFFER a dot older than that).

A secondary problem is that the dots it allows me to OFFER in a trade swing wildly all over the map--some pretend attempts at trades yield only 2 very low level dots as available to OFFER, and others will allow a third of my roster (those that are trade eligible).


Here's a link (I think this is what you're looking for?) of an attempt at trading with another team of the same age as the one I own--NONE of their players show up as available for me to acquire (even though several dots on their team don't have no-trade clauses, and only 2 of my lowest level dots show up as being available to offer: http://goallineblitz.com/game/trade.pl?player_id=4455873

So the above are 2 teams of the same age to trade with, but what I can offer varies from having only 2 dots available to having as many as 12.

And nobody from the other team in the pretend offer shows up as being available even though there are dots on the roster with no-trade contracts.

Might be off the cuff here, but it may be easier/quicker to just remove the trade function (remove the trade/offer trade links). Doesn't add much value and I'm sure the #'s would substantiate that trades just aren't happening.

Its hard to execute trades if you can't really offer them though.

Day 40 must be the over/under age of a "sophomore and a "prep schooler" could this be the glitch?

Hey all -

Trying to help figure out what issues may be occurring here, have been talking with Dsog via support ticket a bit and he kindly linked me to this thread.

I took over team 49 "ball busters" to initiate a trade with another Prep team to see what would happen. I picked this team because they have a day 19, 12, and 47 aged players. The day 47 aged player did not show up as an option for trade. There is no NT clause for that player.

I think Dsog is on to something as far as age. The only problem I have right now is that I have a trade that's pending between two Prep teams that involves day 48 players. If it goes through then it may throw a monkey wrench into the age issue.

Actually, that wouldn't be a monkey wrench--it would merely CONFIRM that it treats "older than 40" and "under 40" as two different age buckets, and that the league age limits are NOT being updated as far as the trade mechanism goes.
