That thread is a perfect example.

You can't seriously tell me with a straight face that 45+ people actually read GD and care enough to +/- that thread.

How many people do read GD? or least a rough estimate?

the mods should never have access to anything personal on any users..

oyu vote against a mods suggestion and then what..

it's not like we only ever get the fine upstanding types as mods...

although right now most of them are all part of the "good ole boy network" anyway

still
no need to give them access to anything like that..

thats what admins are for.

what part are you having trouble with?

the part that mods are paid flex and 90% of them could not be trusted with personal information?
never give power to someone who can't separate personal from professional ..

mods keep the forums clean.. thats all they need to worry about.. let the paid staff track down alts

I hardly call liking or disliking a post personal. If so you should probably have a talk with the people of Facebook. Certainly isn't any information that we, as mods could do anything with outside of if a post was downvoted 10 times and it was all of viles multi's we could rectify that or see that someone has made multiple accounts just to screw with a user.

im not even sure what this means. You seem to be confused. This is for General Discussion, Free For All, and Trash Talk. There is no karma in suggestions.

Not sure what this has to do with mod status. You will have to be more clear outside of your personal beef with the lower level sim. But even if this were a relevant topic, only about 10 of the near 30 moderators are connected to WL right now.

So admins should be spending all day running through every account on GLB? Seems logical.

Just an fyi, all or at least most multi accounts could be completely eliminated if GLB wasn't too worried about losing members by getting rid of multis.

Simply put it would and should not take any amount of effort, nothing more than a few clicks a day, but GLB and its admins are pansies.

Don't let their or your otherwise filled in excuses cloud your judgement, multis should absolutely not be an issue on this site.

My assumption is that Bort&co believe that the elimination of multi accounts would hurt the game because of the lost "user-base" and I'm sure they have plenty of reason to back that up.

I am sure they have plenty of reason to back that up.

fwiw though Multiple accounts only hurt the game in any way for a couple reasons...

1. Banned people making comebacks.
2. Using them to forum flame/spam users.
3. a free player

Generally it is fairy easy to spot out the #3 and often times easy to spot #2. #1 can be sneaky if they are.

Yeah, especially that sorry-assed bhall. Dude is pretty tight with Mat McRomo, slash, and the dredge of GLB, drksandyman.
