guys like bolick, ghuff, ee, etc...are helping coordinators all the time in the Def coordinator forum. I actually just learned something today that was pretty simple and somehow all this time I didn't get.

o coordinator forum has died off a bit but jd and myself still help out in there. I think jampy started a new or something. I am not in that one though.

and the builds forum has a ton of vets in there. Granted a lot of varying ideas butting heads but still helpful in a ton of ways. I even have a Offense VA guide that I update every once in awhile if i feel need be.

Then there is the obvious help in the FAQ forum here from jd and McBriar especially.

i guess i couldve answered my own question. i was just thinking of more one on one than a whole group of guys helping out in a PF.

heh might be why it is ded. i think it is private too.

I have no mod powers in their to accept people so we might have to all move to where jampy is.

ya and i mean i get PM's every day from OC's and what not asking for advice so I am always open in that avenue too. Plus I am working on a couple of GLB projects in my spare time.

I see no reason why you can't grow along with the dots

Plus the D will carry you (if I can land a good DC )

Honestly though, I can relate to what everyone has posted in last couple pages of this thread.
Have to take time off and coast or burn out is imminent

I have direct experience that this is incorrect.

I'm certain there are WL owners who coast in the regular season. I also know for a fact that there are WL owners who CLAIM to coast in the regular season, but when you scout them it becomes very clear that they do in fact gameplan all season long.

Some guys aren't above putting on a false front in the forums to get wins.

I'll pay attention but as a DC i dont need to do anything but tag

I can may things look different by tagging differently, leaving off tags etc. or just different AI

or your packages have enough differentiated plays that it doesn't really matter. That's my attitude.

DC requires heavy upfront time investment in terms of establishing your AI for that season.
OC requires game to game time investment to find holes for your attack.

Amen. When I used to OC, I had an A.I. that would attack weaknesses in the defense with a bit of borderline spam penalty thrown in to exploit things, but the problem is I'd have to radically change up my offense every game (unless it was a creampuff opp) to not only exploit new things, but to keep DC's guessing. Post-game, I then would type a few paragraphs on the team forum on what went wrong and right. I'd also encourage members to vote on a "player of the game" and even created a team website. No, I am not shitting you.

I took this shit very seriously. Took me a few seasons before I realized I could be doing something more productive with my life and that my owner wasn't as enthusiastic as I was. He sold the team, and I was left like a fool. Go figure.

you me cry
