Over-relying on scouts is worse imo.

1) Yes...I boosted my Pee Wee dots as I had the flex to do it and I wanted a chance to win the Pee Wee Tourney and I saw several Gold teams had boosted. What's wrong with trying to compete?

2) I am not degrading scouts. I am degrading OC/DC's who only use scouts and don't do their own scouting.

A good OC/DC does his own scouting.

Yeah, scouts are just a nuisance. I've never met a scout that actually helped me.

At best, they tell me obvious things or things I already knew. At worst, they give me terrible information that is horribly inaccurate. Found out a long time ago it's best to coordinate without using scouts.

pretty much my thoughts as well. Prior to the scout tool it was neat to have a couple guys look over games and scout tendencies and what not but now it is more a bother than anything. Granted I don't even scout anymore because the game is just random fakes and missed vision checks.

The scout GM spot is pretty much just good for training future coordinators or giving noobs something to do. Outside of that...meh.

meh a good scout can see what is weak and strong....can see the fast and slow....like a jedi a good scout reads plays and finds a tree through the forest

While an OC or a DC doing their own scouting should make them a better OC and DC (and generally does), that also doesn't mean that if they don't do that anymore, because they have a very good scout they can trust, that they're not a good OC or DC anymore. I agree with most here that there aren't many (if any) scouts left around good enough to engender that kind of complete trust. But there once was and, if there ever is again, then a good OC or DC that finds them will be happy to have them. They cut down on a TON of excess work a OC or a DC has to do. Kinda like a business having an executive and a assistant executive. If it's just an executive, then he has to do everything... which eats up his time and even causes ineffectiveness due to overwork. Having an assistant that does all those little things that eats up your time is a nice perk and good for the business. A team with a very good scout should outperform a team without one if the quality of the dots, the OC, and the DC are all equal. There's a reason Rally drivers have a navigator... and it's not just for someone to chat with while driving.

Anyone with enough knowledge to see something in an opponent that I don't would not be willing to be a scout in the first place.

If I am relying on a scout...why am I the OC and not him?

i mean this scout is capable of telling me what is a good set of plays to run against someones defense but he isn't capable of setting up an offense?
