Sooner or later, people will be right.

They'll just be right for the same reason a broken clock is right twice a day.

or it'll get to the point where it'll make fox more money by canceling it

It was a great show 10 years ago and I actually tried to catch new episodes, now I watch the reruns from time to time. Still good imo, but nothing like it was.

I don't think they'll get back to the epic greatness that they were putting out in the mid-90s. But to me they're like a ratty old hoody that you can't get rid of, there's something just so damn comfortable about grabbing some couch and watching jokes I've had memorized for over a decade. I don't mind the new ones either, I'm not like some people who feel like everything they watch on TV needs to be cutting edge or they risk losing cool kid points.

Simpsons is going through what many shows WISH they could go through... being around so long that even new stuff doesn't seem new or different. M*A*S*H* lasted a long time... as did Star Trek (the original series), Seinfeld... and all of them worked harder in their later episodes to "remain elite" as best they could. Still, people burn out eventually in this "what have you done lately" world. Being a huge cartoon fan myself, I like the Simpsons... but even for me it's getting a little "old". But they shattered the old "record" the Flintstones set back in the day... and that's worthy of a serious "DOH-nut".

Star Trek only lasted 3 years, people think it was alot longer.

I grew up on the Simpsons....it's kinda hard to watch now but you have to appreciate the entire body of work.

I'd definitely enjoy being a part of an all Simpsons themed team.

same here. I grew up on them so its hard to break old habits. They arent as funny now as they used to be, but I am still a fan

I remember a guy I know wore a Bart Simpson shirt saying "underachiever, and proud of it" to class, not long after the show came out. Our teacher went nuts, sent him to the principal, and he wasnt allowed to wear it to school again. Plus, he had to write an essay why wearing clothes like that wasnt cool.

That teacher was a real bitch, but some people looked so poorly on the show back then. Nowadays its softcore vs some of the animated shows on TV.
