McBriar. He made it a mission to keep getting me banned for posting in FAQ because he considers this his playground and would get annoyed when I'd correct his bad advice. So I, the most helpful poster in FAQ history (McBriar has the most posts by far, but I'm second most and my advice is much better) don't post in FAQ anymore. GG McBriar & GLB moderation.

edit:
I only posted in this one because Wise linked it from the WL forum.

I would stand with you on that statement. I have seen nothing but good advice posted by you in the FAQ over many many seasons

Don't let anyone beat you down, no reason you can not give what you, an accomplished GLB'r, believes to be good advice for those that ask of it here. My builds and strategies would still be complete crap if not for things I have picked up from your post along the way...instead of what my builds/strategies are now which is slightly above not so crappy.

If you stop giving what you believe to be good advice because of the haters, then they win. Only thing that kills it is when McBriar post and it says "Lead Mod" under his user name newbies think his advice is always best. We both know that being a mod at this site has nothing to do with your knowledge of the game. Look at Bhall for example.....

I never said that.

But his advice is not always the best advice, and I'm not saying JD's is either.

He doesn't give bad advice. But, sometimes, there are differences of opinions in small things and he does have an issue with losing his cool over those confrontations. I like the guy still and have much of his stuff in my notes. Even though we've butted heads a little. He's at least polite in PM's and I respect that.

I read through this hoping to actually find a good link to building a player that explained multi training and caps and what not. A lot of banter back and forth but didn't see an actual link people could point a noob to and get the lowdown on what i should be doing. Anyone? When i mentioned noob i meant myself just to be clear.

http://wiki.goallineblitz.com/index.php/Archetypes#Hard_Hitting_LB

A Hard-Hitting Archetype LB has 4 Major attributes, so yes, the ALGs for those major attributes are 0.5 each. So jdbolick's build plan that I posted back on Page 1 of this thread would work, yes.

Best day to build is anytime between Day 40 and Day 48. A dot built anywhere in that time frame will get retroactive Training Points as if they had been built on Day 40, so all dots built anywhere in that time window will be on equal-footing as far as Training goes.

As for your build itself... well... I despise Hard-Hitting LBs because Speed is a Minor instead of a Major, so I can't give much advice there. But some people swear by them. It's like anything in GLB, really... if you build your dot properly, your dot can be effective. But some types of dots are harder to properly build than others.
