lol, your argument is stupid and makes no fucking sense... you're mad because there are penalized SA's in more than one tree?

LB's trees are heavily rooted in Pass Rushing or Run Stuffing. Pass Coverage is going to be a mix of both... since Diving Tackle is p awesome and Swat Ball is p key in coverage... it appears you'd want both as you'll most likely have your key attributes that will work in conjunction with those attributes.

You're just bitching to bitch and I'm stating you're wrong. You don't understand their thinking and just assume they didn't think about it and I'm explaining that it makes legitimate sense. It's not my fault you can't fathom why a Run Block penalty instead of Get Low is a bit unfair.

Mad? LOL

If I was "mad" I'd not be playing this game. Fact remains, cLB is only archetype that has a penalized/favored SA in each tree. Why? Why don't other archetypes have that set-up???

Because the whole archetype set-up was ill thought out and put together like an upside down jigsaw puzzle.

hate the messenger. lol

BECAUSE other archetypes didn't merit it.

I know you're hazed out from your days with Jerry, but take a quick rip and recalibrate your brain. Those SA's make sense and you simply put the Custom Equip bonus wherever you feel is important.

Your inability to understand that a coverage LB (based on the current SA tree structure) is going to dabble in a little bit here and there is not Catch's fault. HH LB's still can use SB and other SA's in the pass rush tree.

If I chose to roll with a stronger pass rusher, I'd go with HH LB and definitely put my bonus in the pass rusher tree despite the 2 negative SAs.

My D-linemen have their custom tree in the pass rushing and not the run stuffing despite there being 2 negative SA's in that tree.

The AT system always had to have some give and take and it wasn't just going to make everything the best possible setup as it'd just make a ridiculously imbalanced structure.

Not going to even bother to quote the tripe above.

basically, defend away as it's way too late to change (out of beta and all), but the fact remains the decisions made for archetypes are, in many cases, absurd. Did you get bypassed for a Mod job or something?

I'm sticking by my thoughts so don't get that vertical smile you're sporting in a knot.

Which is what it was initially, and thankfully they accepted my re-design (with a few additional tweaks of their own). The most important thing for archetypes was to balance them as a game mechanic, which meant intentionally making some worse. Originally there was a HB archetype with power, speed, and carrying all being .5 majors. lol

edit:
Actually I went back and looked and I'm overstating the degree to which I changed the archetypes. A lot of my suggestions were implemented, but a lot of the system was already in place and required no adjustment.

Good thing, tbh. But, some remain out of sorts. Glad you apparently helped stem the absurdity.

Not much into tripe, tbh. Grew up with it and never much a fan. Brains are better all in all.

Isn't vision a big part of the catching formula?

Can having Vision 48 be good enough?

Or lower?
