The backup guard and tackle play both sides. Since you're forcing starters that's not a big deal, and having two extra roster spots means you can add extra tight ends or STOPs.

Right. But I meant the back up that plays both sides at Tackle, is he a LOT or ROT archtype? Pass or Run blocker to be more precise.

I use run blocker for all OTs, including the starter at LT.

Here was our LOT all season... 3rd in pancakes and I don't think asau is considered a run heavy team. Gave up 6 sacks

just because protector is penalized doesnt mean it is worthless

That was my reaction when I joined Asau's offensive staff and saw just 1 true Center on the Depth Chart too.

And look at the morale attack.

That's a unique build and use.

More sacks and hurries given up than both my LOTs combined - but also more Pancakes. Nat Pro though so Apples and Oranges.

Thats going to give me food for thought.

Have to scout and see how the runs up the middle go.

But if the LOT looks like that Ima guessing the guards around the center must be monsters.

Thats good to know.

I've been known to use a red protector but was never sure how effective it was.

Pretty inefficient use of SP though. I'd only use AEQ to put points into an end tree SA that is penalized and even then I'd rarely do it.

The times I have done it, it came up shopping. Not sure I have taken it over the 6.
