Maybe you needed to look in the mirror long ago, if you think everyone around you is an idiot, while I don't doubt they are, you also need to ask yourself what service are you providing to them? How could you have better impacted those around you, life is funny like that you get out of it what you put into it, I am sure at your funeral they will say " My dad worked hard all his life, and never had much to show for it, its soo sad" What they're really saying is my dad may he rest in peace worked hard all his life but he never quite figured it out, you see life is easy when you understand there is only 1 thing you can control, and that is your attitude, and rather than look at the negative of every situation all you would have had to do is ask yourself how can I be of better service to all.
I didn't say everyone but most I have known or worked with lack the ability to read directions or listen to what they are supposed to do.I don't know what line of work you do but I have been in mine for over 32 years.I am most likely older then you and been doing this line of work almost or more then you have been alive.I have taught and been the boss and had many bosses.I work with and this I say most that don't listen nor take the time to read directions or care to.I have taken so much time to instruct and explain the particulars of the job even though they have many years or no experience so that they could excel in their job.The company I work for hires clowns I try and it wears me down always being the one that does.I have so much of a budget that has to be spread on my end and I will explain that what and how these people work will take or give them some extra money in their pockets but all they can see is no bonus so no care.If I am always buying new hoods or doors and bumpers that money has to come from my budget if we don't spend it.I can put it back in to each of the employees and do summer barbecues or things to make work better.I give people some extra cash for their B-days and I will take my crew out for lunch when time permits.I am just tired of the people around me not listening or caring and a company that just thinks we will always be money loaded.I had a guy that comes in late all the time and wont do anything but one thing then cry and moan.I have tried to work with him but the last straw was when he told me to shove my head up my butt.I told him we no longer can do this and since he wont do his job and repeatedly comes in late he was being released. He broke out 2 windows and smashed the grill on a truck before we got him out of here. Two days later he was back working as he talked to HR and they thought he just needed another chance.Never mind he cost them 400.00 and time from things we could of gotten done if we didn't have to clean up after him.I have had to step back and now in the process of dropping my work hours from 85 to 100 per week.I am going to be back to 40/50 per week and get more time with my grand kids and wife.I am sorry for this long story but sometimes it hard to express alot in a forum in a short response but I am just tired .
ps: this is just 1 example as I have a great deal many story's with other employees I had to deal with and not all were bad but most were and its getting worse everyday.
